When you get shutdown by Jason Terry in the finals, there is no way in HELL you can be a GOAT.
  • @redpepperdave
Lbj played all 82 once while MJ has played all 82 9x
  • @Playb0y_Shyne
There has never been a GOAT in any sport with a losing record. This debate is for those kids who got participation medals.

Jordan was a more fierce competitor than LeBron ever was. His desire to win was always much higher. That's the starting point.
  • When you have a 27.5% shooting within the last 2 minutes of NBA Finals games with a one point lead is not a goat, it's a choke artist
  • @tylerwiest7274
His style of play AND his lack of humility is WHY his teams are all getting ruined and his coaches are getting fired
  • @mja4wp
The reason a LeBron led team is not mentioned in the Top 10 is because they are LeBron led teams.

The difference between MJ and LeBron is that MJ wanted to win because he was a competitor. LeBron wants to win just so people think of him as the GOAT. This is why MJ will always be above James. LeBron is always SAYING that he's the GOAT, but he's not showing it. He just doesn't have the same winning mentality that MJ had, there's no denying it.

there is NO Debate...there is only magical thinking
  • @lilceasar1565
Michael Jordan is just a better winner. It was always more than just 6 beat 4 rings. This is a great breakdown!

Lebron's teams aren't as successful when he's not on the floor because his teammates never play with each other while he's on the floor; they all only play with Lebron, so they never have continuity.

The greatest-of-all-time should probably be the best player on his own team.
  • People forget both Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant were drafted in Chicago and developed with Jordan and his competitive nature. Also Phil was a first time head coach, not an established coach like when he went to the Lakers
  • @daytonagreg8765
There is no LEGITIMATE debate. LBJ is not even worthy of a mild discussion on that topic.
  • Lebron formed a super team, Michael Jordan didn't that's one of the biggest difference
  • @joshm6854
Said it before and Ill say it again. Jordan didnt need Pippen. He needed a team. Pippen just happened to be part of it. Jordan was the best player in the world from essentially 87 to 98. Lebron never came close to that.
  • @chrisxavier1848
because of LeSystem; his teammates always have to sacrifice their game for him, so it takes a while for them to revert when he's off the court.
  • @JJFX-
The fact that this question is still being asked is even more ridiculous. There's also something to be said about how much easier the eastern conference was for the Heat those years compared to the stacked western conference. The same can not be said of Jordan's era. The only people who would honestly entertain this idea were either not watching in the 90's or work for Klutch sports.
