Cutting the 'number your thumb' lyric was criminal
  • “You understand mechanical hands are the ruler of everything?” “æ.”
  • The finished version only modulates the god-like figure, making it feel like a person fearing a force they're unfamiliar with, allowing us to relate to them more and fear the ruler of everything. This version only pitches up the human, presenting them in a more mocking tone, playing up the aspect of foolish ignorance they display in the lyrics and making the ruler of everything seem more like an empathetic being trying to get the human to understand they can't ignore their place. I really enjoy the inverse in both versions, they each provide a different experience.

I've got zirconium pants Consequential enough to slip you into a trance Do you like how I walk? Do you like how I talk? Do you like how my face disintegrates into chalk? I have a wonderful wife, I have a powerful job She criticizes me for being egocentric (Ha!) You practice your mannerisms into the wall If this mirror were clearer I'd be standing so tall I saw you slobber over clovers on the side of the hill I was observing the birds (Circling for the kill) I've been you, I know you, your façade is a scam You know you're making me cry, this is the way that I am I've been living a lie, a metamorphical scheme Detective undercover, brotherhood, objective, obscene Oh, no, no, oh, yeah [Bridge] Do you hear the flibbity jibbity jibber jabber With an, "Oh my god I've got to get out of here or I'll have another Word to sell, another story to tell Another timepiece ringing the bell" Do you hear the clock stop when you reach the end? No, you know it must be never-ending, comprehend if you can But when you try to pretend to understand You resemble a fool although you're only a man So give it up and smile Do you hear the flibbity jibbity jibber jabber With an, "Oh my god I've got to get out of here or I'll have another Word to sell, another story to tell Another timepiece ringing the bell" Do you hear the clock stop when you reach the end? No, you know it must be never-ending, comprehend if you can But when you try to pretend to understand You resemble a fool although you're only a man So give it up and smile [Chorus] You understand mechanical hands are the ruler of everything (Ah) The ruler of everything (Ah) I'm the ruler of everything in the end [Outro] Without looking down, gliding around Like a bumbling dragon I fly Scraping my face on the sky Oh, no, no, oh yeah

I like the difference from this and the final version, its almost like 2 different songs
  • The megaphone part starts off so much louder it genuinely kinda scared me

The fact that I'm STILL finding banger demos from tally hall just tells you how much effort they out into making every song they make as amazing as possible
