The Ultramarines are considered one of the strongest and most honoured of all the Space Marine Chapters in the Imperium of Man, and were responsible for almost single-handedly holding the Imperium together after the Horus Heresy.

Highly disciplined and courageous warriors, the Ultramarines have remained true to the teachings of their Primarch Roboute Guilliman for 10,000 standard years. The Ultramarines were originally the XIIIth Space Marine Legion before the reforms that initiated the Second Founding and reshaped the Imperium after the Heresy on the orders of Guilliman himself as the lord commander of the Imperium and Imperial Regent.

TTS has taught me that we can rag on the ultrasmurfs all day and night... but when you want something *DONE*, you get the blueberries

I could imagine Yvraine getting really excited when Roboute invites her to his quarters to "show her something that he has never shown anyone." Only to find out it's his ultra collection of stamps. Which makes her want him more because she all about that Boy Scout energy.
  • my favorite guilliman moment is honestly just when him and his dad go on a hunting trip, and his dad gets hurt, and guilliman realizes that he's going to outlive his dad and just feels really sad, and his dad says its going to be alright. Its a little thing but its great.

I get now why everyone hates Guilliman. Because he's the only f***ing competent leader of all the primarchs. Guilliman: Ah, yes and what about supply lines? Everyone Else: F***ing nerd! Also Everyone Else: Dies from lack of supplies.

Funny thing is what made Guilliman who is today was the one thing he had no other Primarch had, the one thing that made him human, treated him with the most love and respect, the person who was always by his side, the person who always brought him cookies and orange juice when ever he was planning on invading a planet. Guilliman had a mom and a pretty damn good one at that.

Fun fact, in Canada we have a gas station chain named ultramar. The colour scheme is also blue, white, and gold.

I still love this interaction between Guilliman and Lorgar. Lorgar: Have you lost your temper, Roboute? Guilliman: I am going to gut you. Lorgar: You have lost your temper.

Guilliman's technically not straight edge, he got drunk with those space wolves during the horus heresy and his mom yelled at him for oversleeping.

My favorite Quote from Roboute. Is straight on the top of his Wiki page: "Why do I still live? What more do you want from me? I gave everything I had to you, to them. Look what they've made of our dream. This bloated, rotting carcass of an empire is driven not by reason and hope but by fear, hate and ignorance. Better that we had all burned in the fires of Horus' ambition than live to see this." This quote alone just sums up how royal pissed he was woken up so rudely and has to deal with this shit. Even going so far as to admit. Horus should have burned it all to the ground.

Talks about Rogal Dorn, Shy shows a picture of a single brick.
  • So he's basically the 40k Captain America. War hero, master strategist, total boy scout, but still a complete gigachad. Then on ice for ages and revived in a much darker and more morally grey era. Also wears a lot of blue armor.
  • "put my spleen back, i got a rebellion to quash" --Konnor Guilliman, probably

The best way to describe Guilliman is ‘imagine Julius Ceasar but replace his brain with a supercomputer’

To be fair to the Codex Astartes, the thing that the other Primarchs didn't like about it was the splitting of the Legions. The actual tactical knowledge contained within was all good. But the problem was after all the Primarchs disappeared, people religiously followed the Codex's tenants and left little to no room for deviation, treating it like a holy scripture. Guilliman did revise the Codex when he came back because he was like "FFS guys, you can do something different in battle if the situation calls for it"

23:12 Guilliman sounds like the living embodiment of the saying "Amateurs study tactics, professionals study logistics."
