Therapist reacts to Tool - Pneuma

Publicado 2024-06-25
Therapist reacts to Pneuma by Tool to discuss the fundamental truth that we all have a light within us. Going through a dark time doesn't disqualify us from having light but it may inform the type of light we have and the direction we should shine it.

Now watch Danny’s drum camera video of the song and see the master in action. Hiss poly rhythms are insane.

I am not a human having a spiritual experience. I am a spirit having a human experience.

Tool has been the soundtrack of my life, tool has gotten me through some tough times
  • @stevetrevino9421
as USMC grunt, please consider listening to Tool's INVINCIBLE. if you have worked with veterans seeking therapy. Maynard being a army vet hit the lyrics out of the park.
  • @wickman33
you can break a Tool show up into 3 sections.. there's before Pneuma, Pneuma and after Pneuma. It is absolute profound perfection

So glad you have reacted to this. Figured it would be right in your wheelhouse. I'm sure you'll have a lot of comments suggesting to check out the live drum cam version to see the full majesty of Danny Carey's work.

I think it was the second or third time I saw TOOL. Maynard told the audience near the end of the set, that they were wrapping up this leg of the tour. Then he said something that I've always looked to as a source of inspiration in times of darkness, "we love what we do, but we can't wait to just get home, lay back and jack off into a fan". Whadda guy! TOOL is Pink Floyd for the new millennium. 🤘🧙‍♂🤘 Absolutely love what do on this channel and am constantly in awe of how well you do it.
  • You can't truly appreciate this Fully without seeing Danny Carey do this live! Pneuma live Danny Carey drum cam.

Definitely have a look into Parabol/Parabola. It wells me up if I'm not mentally prepared
  • @davidward9737
I think "Parabol/Parabola" " or definitely "Pushit" would have been more up her alley. Remember she is a reaction therapist, not just a reaction channel. Btw anyone else get happy or smile when you see her bee-bop or dance to music. To cute and funny
  • I will never get sick of witnessing others enjoy Tool. Living through their experience "vicariously", if you will. lol
  • Pneuma reminds me of my grandfather. Growing up my grandfather whenever he heard people fighting amongst each other he would say. “ Hon dobind ahoi” translates to (we are one people). It took me 35 years to fully understand what he meant. Doesn’t matter the color of your skin, beliefs, background etc. at the end of the day we are one race the human race.

5:40 Wow I did NOT expect this messaging from these lyrics. I wasn't paying close enough attention. You hit the nail on the head, and I honestly started shaking a bit. I've recently started talking to this girl who has this way about her that, for the first time in at least a decade, she somehow just makes me relax, and breath. I even said this to her. She had me lay on her while she caressed my back, while I was anxious about some of the things I'm going through, and just told me to relax. My breathing changed completely, and it felt like I was exhaling these toxins out of my very soul, and momentarily I just fell asleep. And then I woke up feeling a million times better. That is exactly what you describe here. I cannot believe it. Wow. Thank you for that. Guys, gals, let me just say: Male loneliness is a real thing... and part of the reason we are alone is because there is a stigma that prevents us from letting us release our light. We have one foot nailed down, bound to this flesh, this guise, and this mask. Become Pneuma, people. Ok... I'll watch the rest of the video now.
  • @KevinAndrew
i spent a lot of my life ignoring my light and avoiding it because of other people. Working through my trauma i found it again, even if it's a bit weird... but then again, that's me and i'm so happy to be me. The real me. Not the one i tried to be, or other's said i should be. Just me. Love this song!
  • One song I think should be looked at, but never gets requested, is Jambi. Easily my favourite song from 10,000 Days. Had it on repeat during my early days of sobriety. "If I could I'd wish it all away/If I thought tomorrow would take you away"

Man, I’ll be she’s an awesome therapist. Engaged, curious, helpful, personable, empathetic, open, honest… Great stuff. The exact type of person you want to talk through it and walk through it with. 👍
