I'm just driving over 60 miles to pick up my son from his mother's house. We're stopped at a stop sign near my old apartment when I asked him if I should spin the tires... He smiled and said yes. I revved up the engine and popped the clutch out in first gear heard a bang, and the car didn't go anywhere.
I couldn't figure out what it happened, I was confused, but I was hiding it. I called my wife and let her know the car died and I needed her pick us up... when I told her where I was, and how close it was to the house she was happy to oblige.
Just then a tow truck came driving up the road. I'm flying to driving down and ask him if you'd be able to tell me home not. It was less than 3 miles away. He said he could I then asked how much it was and he told me it was $100, I told him I only had 50 and he said he would do it for that.
I got the car home and I looked underneath and that's when I saw the damage I had done. So I went to Napa, got the new drive axle, and came home to put it in.
