I heard Back in the Saddle back in 76 as a 14 year old kid and that was it!!!!... I've been playing in bar bands for over 40 years....THANKS STEVEN,JOE,BRAD,JOEY AND TOM FOR WALKING THIS WAY!!!

Aerosmith was the band that got me into music when i was 12 in 1993. I got emotional at knowing that I'll never see them live again or them putting out a new song. All things come to an end and watching my musical heroes retire or pass away is painful. Aerosmith was and always will be part of my my life

For all you saying Sammy sounded like crap. I was at this show. Sammy played for 2 hours and sounded great. His voice started to fade the last few songs and this is what you’re hearing. This was near the end of the show just before his last songs.

Been a huge fan of Aerosmith since the early 1970's....i am the grandmom that still turns up their music...really loud, too!

Steven’s top five rock vocalists of all time in my opinion. It’s amazing how long he sang @ such a high level. Glad he’s decided to retire rather than subject us to years of backing tracks and/or failing vocals.
  • Sammy is one of the coolest rockstars ever. We all love Aerosmith! My thoughts with Steven as I know this was a very tough and sad decision. I will miss seeing them live, but I will play their music forever. Thank you Aerosmith for all the amazing music and memories. Thank you for recognizing their retirement Sammy.

Awesome speech Sammy! Got to see Aerosmith twice over the years. They were my first rock concert ever in 2001! Last time was in Vegas 2015 at the MGM. Both killer shows!

I wasn't surprised. Its too bad but if steven cant sing its the right thing to do and the man is 76 been screaming for like 50 years. Have a good retirement thanks for all the great music.

Sammy is the only old rocker that doesn’t look like a 80 year old grandma
  • 😢 thank you Aerosmith. Keep rocking. Need to releases some unreleased material.

Been an Aerosmith fan since the start and a SH fan since Montrose and to hear how much those vocal cords have been abused just blows my mind. Hats off to Sam for showing the Luv and Many thanks to Steven and Aerosmith for all the great music they have shared with the rest of us. I'm betting there's going to be a bunch of newly released videos hitting the YouTube over the next few years from shows that haven't previously been Released.

Saw Aerosmith live back in 78, Summer Jam 2, Chicago at Cominsky Park. Aerosmith headlined, but Foreigner, AC/DC (with Bon Scott) and Frank Marino and Mohagany Rush also played! I just remember being stoned and doing air guitar for every song! "Toys in the Attic," was my first Aerosmith album and my all time favorite! Joe Perry was the ultimate guitar god!!!

This is so poignant. I can see Mike Anthony to Sammy's right and Joe Satriani to his left. God bless you guys. You all have some class. Rock on while you can.
  • Great tribute and gesture ❤❤❤to Aerosmith Steven Tyler 👏 👍 🙌 🎉🎉
  • I'm really sad today, to hear of Aerosmith retirement. But very happy that Steven Tyler is taking care of his health and himself!!❤❤❤ Maybe someday we will see them "Back in the Saddle" Again!!

Sammy and Steven were the only 2 that kept their voices 100% their whole career. That's saying something in this day and age!

Sammy Hagar is CLASS. His comments are SPOT ON. I have TONS of respect for him, all the musicians on their current tour, Van Halen past and present, and of course, Aerosmith. Thank you ALL for decades of true, real, honest Rock and Roll.
  • Sammy Hagar, the epitome of a frontman if there ever was... what a class act....
  • Amazing that Steve sang at such a level for so many years, 50! My favourite singer, Robert Plant had his top voice in LZ for 3.5 years before he lost some range.
