My two cents is that Shin's charge up for his beam is over-exaggerated here. In the movie, when the beam concentrates, that's him learning to use the beam - adapting. When Shin uses his beam in the rest of the film it only takes a second or two to activate.
  • One thing to take into account about legendary is that the axe that penetrated it was made from the dorsal of Godzilla that one of the previous Kong's had grabbed and fashioned into an axe

The fact that Shin Godzillas chunks of flesh have a consciousness of their own makes him a more deadlier threat as he can make extensions of himself and those Godzilla's can be much more robust than the parent.
  • How they’d interact with one another definitely interests me. Shin is relatively unresponsive. If anything Shin would probably ignore Legendary. Legendary roars at him and gets no response, it’d be like trying to talk to a corpse.
  • Shin Godzilla could technically be the strongest version of a live action Godzilla we’ve ever seen since it can evolve to overcome almost any situation it’s put in

I think it comes down to if Legend wants to pursue a losing battle. Shin will eventually get to the point that it can easily overtake Legend, and we have to wonder if Legend will accept this and move on or fight to the death. As you said, Shin is more like an animal so it's unlikely it will target Legend out of revenge or pride or whatnot, so in my mind it ends as either a Shin victory or a total stalemate.
  • Thank you Goji center for making these amazing videos for us, we apreciate your effot you put in these videos...
  • Petition to make a part 2 with multiple calculated outcomes, this really sounds like an interesting faceoff that could end a ton of different ways
  • Okay but consider: Shin doesn't submit to Legend and just stands there being a derp. Legend surmises that Shin isn't being disrespectful, but just doesn't know any better because they are a literal infant. Legend then adopts Shin.

I know there's no Mothra or nukes for Legendary to absorb for his pulse, but couldn't he just absorb Shin Godzilla's own nuclear energy and get the pulse that way?

I'm starting to love this channel
  • I find it interesting how these two are exact opposites of each other. The Legendary Godzilla is the guardian of the Earth, he keeps the planet stable and prevents creatures that would generate overpopulation like the MUTOS from wiping out the planet, of course very much for his own survival, and he can eventually decide that humanity is a threat and to destroy for the good of the planet. Meanwhile the Shin Godzilla is an abomination created by humanity that will not stop evolving and growing, it will keep evolving, when it is broken it will multiply and will not stop until it has nothing more to be destroyed, creating an overpopulation of monsters that would end everything and maybe even themselves.

In terms of resistance, Shin vs Legendary feels to me quite similar to the game City of Heroes' power sets in regards to Regeneration vs Invulnerability. Regeneration possesses some innate resistance mechanisms, but its various tools and natural rate of regeneration render most small attacks meaningless. It will, however. feel big attacks and if it doesn't react with one of its active healing powers it can be overwhelmed by a follow-up attack or even a one-hit KO if unlucky enough. Conversely, Invulnerability can be worn down by chip damage but stronger attacks do significantly less damage and it still has an immensely powerful (but non-spammable) healing tool on top of the ability to boost its maximum hit points to a ludicrous degree. The preferential combat behavior of these two sets are thus extremely divergent, with Regeneration wading into weaker targets without issue but having to react against stronger attacks for fear of its life. On the other hand, Invulnerability can feel the pressure of smaller attacks and so needs to find mechanisms to reduce their volume but more readily but tends to follow a strategy of countering rather than evading individually stronger attacks because it can soak more.

It's also worth noting that if they actually fought, humans would likely be fighting on Legendary's side. They could provide as many nukes as needed to give him the power boost and help him regenerate. Shin was technically defeated by humans, so it's not like our help would be useless.

something of note; legendary can literally sense kaiju from across the globe. Even their corpses. Like when they were making the ghidorah based mechagodzilla, he showed up to destroy it a few times. Taking this incredibly fine tuned sense to its logical extreme; no amount of playing dead would work on him because hed instantly sense youre RECOVERING not DYING. And so hed just like, keep tearing shin apart until he stopped sensing that.
