Black male voters are in the hot seat. U.S. news media paint a narrative of a wave of Black men moving toward the Republican Party and supporting Donald Trump. Black men are heavily coveted voters and heavily scrutinized voters. And the truth is, the U.S.’ election system has placed them in this position – a position where some see the only way to exert their political power is to sit out the presidential election. In the 2020 presidential rematch, election turnout in key areas will determine the U.S.’ next leader.
