Dementia is not adhd. It is possible he has both adhd, dementia and is a narcissist/sociopath. I've suspected he has adhd for a while, but he also is sliding into dementia and has always been a sociopath. Someone can be all of these things.

As an adult with ADD, I've always noticed the traits in Trump. He's also got a host of comorbidities.

He takes Adderall but the reason for him being on this med has no connection to ADHD. He gets up at noon and he needs his uppers. These meds are responsible for his incontinence because he has uppers most of his adult life, and this poopy thing is a side effect. That’s why he was so sleepy at trial they didn’t give him the uppers because of fears he would behave as he does at his “Rallies”.

In order to get a job as a kennel attendant at a city run shelter, I had to- Pass a drug test. Pass a psychological evaluation. Pass a background check. Pass a lie detector test. Meet with the police cheif. Score high on a credit check. The president of the United States has to pass or score well on nothing. This needs to change.

Sounds to me like amazing example of the Dunning-Kruger effect, where all of his copious knowledge comes from the fact that his uncle taught at MIT in the 40’s, narcissism, and some cocaine.
