Palpatine basically told Vader the same thing Dooku told Ventress: You are no match for me without the aid of your monster.

I think this comic really helped to explain Vader’s conflicted state of mind in ROTJ given that it’s hinted that he gave up trying kill his master at that point and became more submissive to him.

I thought this was some sort of dream, but Vader actually stood up against Palpatine, never thought I'd see that before his death.

This comic made me realize Palpatine was never in real danger from the Zillo Beast. But he would have been forced to reveal his true nature

I love how palpatine wasn’t even mad, just maybe mildly annoyed. Killed Vader’s weapon and then said “come see some cool shit” And then dunked on him.

I wanted to see Vader sabotage the cloning machines so he would have the last laugh.
