My Father recently passed and will be buried tomorrow, tonight we are reminded of his love of life and remembering wonderful memories of him singing along to these classic Jim Reeves songs. We love you and will be immensely missed.

My Dad was born in 1953 died in 1989 but he used to sing those songs when we were young around 1987 and 88😭😭. Rest in peace Daddy and Jim

Seems like a lot of people in the comments were introduced, by a parent, to Jim Reeves' wonderful music. Might as well chip in my contribution. My mother started playing a lot of Jim Reeves back in the mid 80's when I was a teenager. I quickly grew to love the music. I moved from the nest when I was 19. Then in my 30's the desire for the music came back and I collected a few songs. Mum passed early this year, RIP. In conversation with my older siblings (I'm the baby of the family) I mentioned mum's listening habits in my teenage years, and they told me that, in fact, my grandmother used to love Jim as well and used to play the music when we were living with her and my grandad back in Guyana in the Caribbean, back in the 70's. I have no memory of the music because I was very young I suppose. I guess gran passed on the love for Jim Reeves to mum, and mum handed it down to me. I'm 50 now and really enjoying the music. So glad for this hand-me-down.

My dad was a traditional man who kept to himself. He is gone now but he loved Jim Reeves. I think about him as I listen to this.
