These videos are so fucking good dude. Real, through usefulness. I keep screenshots and notes. I’ve been playing for years and know what I’m doing — they’re still useful to me to help fill skill gaps. And the roadmap vids transfer to bass, which I’m learning now. You are gold standard.

Timestamps: 1. Open chords and strumming patterns: 0:38 2. Bar chords and accented strumming: 1:49 3. Triads, major and minor scale: 4:50 4. Applied triads, time feel: 6:54 5. Harmonization of major scale (love this part): 9:36 Great video! Over a year of guitar theory simplified into 14 minutes, how do you do this everytime 😂

One day I want to meet this guitar George guy.

Just started following your channel. A breath of fresh air from all the other, "I'm going to vaguely explain a guitar-themed concept/exercise, now PLEASE buy my course!" PLEASE tell me you're someday going to follow up with a Lead guitar ordered path. No pressure.
-
this is golden, first thing i watched when i woke up and i got it instantly. rewatching this and copying what you're doing helps me understand a bit better
-
That's literally the video I have been searching for all this time. I am not exaggerating, I mean it. Thanks for everything!
-
Thanks so much for the direction!
-
Only thing id say this video is missing is to start learning some basic chord progressions. This lets you actaully start using all this information and you can use your ear to start understanding the qualities of certain chord progressions and why they work, for example learning that the 5 chord resolves very satisfyingly back to the 1 chord.
-
Incredible content on your videos and all is very well explained. Thank you!
-
I cannot thank you enough for this videos. I've been practicing guitar on my own for a time now and I'm very interested in understanding music to be able to create my own songs. You really filled the gaps with this excellent explanation that you made. I took notes of everything, now it is the time for practice and more practice.

Loving this!! 🔥 thank you! 🙏🏻
-
Man you are explaining things amazingly
-
Thanks a lot Kevin for this video. Can you make a video on arpeggios and how to learn in order?
-
Great content! You have a gift for breaking down theory into chunks that are easily understandable.
-
Kevin, that was an excellent and concise explanation of these concepts that personally took me a while to figure out. This provides a great teaching structure that would focus students and save them months, if not years of time to become proficient. Well done.
-
Superb ! Thanks .. really clear explanation.
-
I was just thinking... When is Kevin going to put out a new video and low and behold. Keep it up .. these videos really add major value to beginners like my self
-
I really enjoy your videos and find your lessons very helpful! I'd like to add my two cents to this video, though: 1.power chords are imho a rhythm guitar essential, not only for rock, 2.playing riffs (not only chord progressions) is immensely helpful, again not only for rock. Keep on making lessons and roadmaps, they are a great tool for us self-thaught guitar players!

The 7 in the major key harmony being "patched" with an inversion ala Beast of Burden really helped me to cement alot of stuff. Also learning how that same scale shape plays out with A roots and going down the neck versus just up.

i never really learnt guitar basics, I've been playing guitar by ear for about 12 years now,i used to figure out chords woth the little finger position knowledge i have with zero theory knowledge, this is really helpful, thank you! waiting for the CAGED video!
