California chooses not to invest in I-15 infrastructure, truck traffic is coming from Long Beach port, widen the roads, separate trucks from cars, make that drive safe and efficient both ways.

I wish she’d get as upset with the formula one that caused people a nightmare for a commute and businesses lost millions. Where’s the outrage?
  • Total B.S. that they couldn't let traffic single lane by the scene on the left shoulder. Just close your vents when approaching and drive on by. Plus the vehicles at the back of the line could have been turned around to drive back if the CHP closed the freeway at the previous off & on ramps. Imagine how many vehicles could have gotten back to Barstow instead of sitting on the road.

They said it was unsafe too breath, yet they had at least 40 people standing around for 48 hours without mask on. What is this the French Laundry?

I disagree much with Wicked Witch Goodman's viewpoints but this we agree. As for widening between Barstow and the state line? Forget it! Not going to happen with the rail - if it actually happens. It is not in California's interest to improve an interstate highway that "removes" California money to Nevada casinos. As for hazardous material transportation? That is what the interstate highway systems is for in most cases. There is no alternate drive between here and California other than driving on I-10 to Blyth and up the 95 to Las Vegas. Not a great route but that is what we did along with many others. Imagine if the high speed rail line was in service during this situation. The smoke and fire would have no doubt shut the down as well and my objection of putting the rail line in the median. My view would be to put it closer to the Union Pacific rail alignment.

Let's be more worried about the impact those lithium ion batteries can create on our travels, our lives, our safety and the environment.

This backup would not happen if people from California just stopped coming. Go somewhere else.

Nevada politicians are one to talk. 95 between Reno and Vegas needs to be widened too. It's full of bottlenecks and crazies coming at you head on all the time.

I’m with Goodman, and I never thought I’d say that.

Interesting the mayors not worried about people that were stuck out there needing water and emergency supplies. She’s worried about Las Vegas losing tourism because that day
  • @gustrujillo1731
Interesting how she put the loss of revenue to Vegas first and the impact of commerce second. Congressman Titus what's more regulations not realizing that the batteries are considered hazardous.

This is so pathetic! 2024 traffic made for traffic in the 1970's
  • @quinnsmith2955
forget about that boondoggle hi speed train and widen the darn highway
  • @herzhaven
I don't agree with the mayor often, but this time she's as right as rain I think. People could have died being stranded for no clear reason and no clear directive. That kind of cargo should be on a train, and who knows what other potentially disastrous items are being transported on that trail of tears between LV and LA.

Nevada democrats complaining about safety when most EV’s carry lithium ion batteries 😂

This is how woke California handles things! Vote smart or be ruled by Idiots!!!
