Having no garage, we were trying to save our vehicles from impending destruction from the massive storm heading our way! The news was reporting 4-5 inch hail, softball size in some areas coming directly toward us. Having lost all the glass in our vehicles in a hail storm in May 2010, we decided to drive away from it, but got caught in it.

Is it just me or... Did I just watch them drive directly towards the storm to avoid it ?!?!?

You didn't drive to safety, you drove right into it!!!! I laughed at this video... love your radar reading ability!!!
  • @JJRush_
Good job, you drove right into the eye of the storm!

I dont understand why would you ever get in your car? During storms you should stay inside listen to the weather. You should never try to drive out of a storm. stay at home . make sure you have car insurance this way you can claim the damage. you tried to our run it and it still hailed on your car. You life is much more valuable than a vehicle. I drive a expensive car but i would never try to get in it from my home driveway and try to our run the storm. Stay at home and safe inside your home. please

How about a parking garage to a mall or hospital or something? Those things will always do the job.
  • @vmaks_official
Yeah but what is the point of driving into the storm if you want to avoid it?

you were worried about your car but you left your pets behind. That's messed up. I can't even imagine how scared those poor babies were.

Probably spent more on gas than the glass would have cost trying to find a place to protect a car, especially since you passed up so many good places to stop.
  • What y’all did driving in the storm seems more dangerous than just staying put..

what i dont understand it, why are you driving tords the storm when you DONT want hail damage?? like really....
  • Surely a town that size would have had an under cover car park somewhere if you were really worried.
  • I do not understand why you didn't pull over your vehicle in a gas station? Though an overpass will protect your from hail it will not protect you from a possible tornado passing over you, Shawna. I hope you read this to prevent yourself from doing this again in future.

no garage? She passes at least two places where she could have gone under cover. she drives directly into the storm.
  • Ok so your telling me in this video that I can protect my car from hail by driving in the storm??? WTF
  • @trin223
This is an example of what NOT to do.
  • To me if I was going to drive out of a hail storm I go to the next nearest shelter to park my car under and wait it out till it was over with or go under an overpass and wait it out. I want to try the drive away from the storm. That thing can be everywhere in the sky. You don't know where it's going to hit.
