  • The lore of Cyber Akuma comes from the comics with Apocalypse. Just like how Apocalypse took Angel from the comics and converted him to Archangel, he converted Akuma to Cyber Akuma.
  • Secret characters should be so broken they come out of the game screen and personally beat my ass.
  • @AudreyII970
Sakura doing a simultaneous backturn pose with Akuma like he's a proud uncle is the funniest shit, I love it lol.
  • @megamandrn001
I love how armored Spider-man has showed up in like five or six, maybe more video games over the course of like 30 years but in the actual comics it showed up for like one page in one issue. The armor gets immediately broken.
  • 19:15 - I believe what happened is after Magento striped the Adamantium from Wolverine and Prof X thought he killed him, the Prof flipped out and mind wiped Magneto to press the reset button on him in order make him good again. However, when he did it the darkest parts of Magneto's psyche slipped into the professor and merged and festered in the darkness of his subconscious and eventually manifested itself as Onslaught.

“Whats the difference between Blackheart and Mephisto?” Mephisto can cancel Spider-Man marriage.
  • 22:39 Fun Fact: Roll is the only secret character in MVC1 with her own theme instead of the blanket secret character theme

Random bit of trivia: The Shadow characters in the MvC series are a riff on the iconic Kamen Rider franchise. Shadow Charlie's backstory is basically identical to the original Kamen Rider, Takeshi Hongo: An evil organization kidnaps a man and turns him into a cyborg supersoldier, but he escapes before they can brainwash him into obedience and uses his newfound powers to fight against them. Meanwhile, "Shadow Jin" from Shadow Lady's MvC ending is a riff on Kamen Rider V3's Shiro Kazami, with Jin getting mortally wounded by the villains and the two existing Shadows being forced to turn him into a cyborg like themselves to save his life.

I think the MvC announcements have just, restored Max's soul, and it's so lovely to see.
  • @RiriTheGreat
It seems like after MvsC came back from the dead, Max has turned his YouTube channel back to a MvsC YouTube channel once again. Proud for the guy he seems happy.
  • @Kyderra
The Pokemon Flashing episode is fascinating because research suggest the large majority of children checking in to the hospital where doing so due to mass hysteria and reverse placebo.
  • I introduced my friends to MVC1. I used Red Venom to put all of them into infinites to properly introduce them to the game. Lol
  • @Linkmindz
Max, literally nobody knows this but the design inspiration comes from another game. Cyber Akuma also known as Z-Gouki was a secret mech character from Cyberbots which was released on the sega saturn 4 months prior (March 28, 1997) to marvel super heroes vs street fighter.
  • @michel0dy
"mvc1 balanced" that got a legit laugh out of me
  • I find it funny how Desk and Max only remember Cyber Akuma coming back in SFV... but not in UMVC3 lol
  • @SquidJoe
Desk is a scientist. He has a masters degree in Combology and a Just-Frame Specialist.
  • @Deadwolf27
Max saying Jubilee is one of the coolest X-Men characters makes me so so happy.

Onslaught remained dormant for some time. Gradually, Xavier's frustration with his dream of mutant-human peace and harmony began to increase, exacerbated by the daily growth of anti-mutant hysteria, the deaths of dozens of mutants from the lethal Legacy Virus, and his own failed attempt to rehabilitate the mutant sociopath called Sabretooth. Xavier reached his breaking point when anti-mutant humans killed a young mutant near the grounds of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, the secret base of the X-Men. It was at this point that Onslaught awakened within Xavier and began to manifest himself to others
