This was like watching a wholesome grandpa talk about his life with the grandson that doesn't really give a shit but that every now and then finds something interesting, lol.

81 years old?! He seems to be in his 50’s!!!

Joe was an asshole. I paused around 1:10:00 because I couldn't listen to his inconsiderate questions. I'll continue listening though for Ron Miscavige. I hope he reads the comment section and sees how people feel about the way he treated the guest.

Don't think Joe even slightly realizes how difficult it is to leave a cult like this even after being convinced one should leave

I thought I was the only one who felt like Joe was a bit cold toward Ron, at some point it felt like he (Joe) didn’t want him there. It kind of breaks my heart knowing what he had to go through and for Joe to treat the man like he did, especially because Ron is an old man who went through a difficult experience. I wonder what went wrong with the interview?

If you ever have the opportunity to have a conversation with an intelligent, emotive elderly person, DO IT! Best stories, best story tellers. So much context and history and weight to what they have experienced.

So many things wrong with this interview: 1 Joe asks a question and then interrupts and asks something not related to the answer. 2. Extremely rude to Ron and practically trying to force him to admit that everything is his fault. 3. Joe pretending that he does not know the meaning of “indoctrination”. Seriously questioning the policies as if Ron is just making this up. Terrible and disrespectful interview.

This is one of the first times Ive ever been mad at joe, shut up and let the men talk

Toward the end of the video, it seems that Joe wanted to get control of the interview and chatted more about trivial stuff. Joe seems to be in love with Tom Cruise, and a desire to join Scientology, in spite of Ron Miscavige's revelations. Ron's story was fascinating.

I believe Ron is in a tough spot. Scientology calls it "disconnection", Jehovah's Witnesses call it "disfellowshipping". It's a hurtful policy and any group that does this is a cult. Period.

Didn't realize Ron was 81. He looks great and sounds very sharp.

This guys life is completely destroyed by Scientology. Joe: “You just wrote that book for money.”
  • @scottwesley5018
Wow Scientology is like a North Korea experiment within the USA
  • @heartbeatvid1
I hope Joe apologized to Ron at some point because I'm really disappointed in this interview.
  • Wtf Joe! I feel for this old man. He's obviously heart broken about losing his family, and all Joe could do is act like a dick and tell em " don't you feel guilty" smh
  • Damn Joe, did the Scientologists at least release your family after this interrogation.
  • @ronyalemerrill
This was heartbreaking. I truly feel for him. No matter how you slice it, he lost his son.

I can only assume Joe has some issues with his own father.
