You're such an inspiration. I use bits of your techniques to embellish some of my cosplay and airsoft loadouts.

Love the honesty in the unexpected issues you run into and address.

Tamiya chrome silver sprayed with an airbrush would've been incredible on this one. Less smell and the paints are more consistent. You can weather the saber a whole lot and you can add black chipping with a very fine brush. Please try it again like that on an Obi Wan kit maybe. You can get an airbrush for cheap. I got a Revell one for like 3$ back in 2010 I think but I never came around to buy a compressor.
  • Love the Video! I am getting into crafting myself. At 56 I feel I am late to the game, but am going all in. I'll be watching more videos for sure. Thanks for sharing!

Great work Anthony, you managed to make such a cheap thing look so real and lived in. I definitely think it's unrecognizable from being an Obi Wan donor saber!
  • @ozwalled2007
Wouldn't bet my life on it, but I'm pretty sure that was the light saber that came with a Furby-like Yoda that you could use to do your "Jedi training" with it. I may be wrong.

I just enjoy Anthony's whole style, Watching his videos helped me through a rough time.

Awsome work, as always, i need more dollar store prop videos, im addicted!! I think that was Obi Wans Saber from The Phantom Menace btw , hes loosing it at the end fight with Darth Maul, so it never got much screen time, thats why you didnt reconrized it, haha.
  • @StormRaider200
beautiful work my man! an inspiration to cheap prop builders everywhere!
  • @PhtevenTheDuck
Homie, this was great as always. Looking forward to the auction!
  • @wastelander138
Awesome work, as always. It would be cool to see you build a full saber from scratch, though. See you go through your usual, organic process. Digging through your parts bins to see what fits.

i bet auction, with a minimal price you are happy with, just make sure everything goes off the shelf. 20$ is better than 0

using plain old sand and rocks can work as well for added mass if you can't afford "real weights"
  • For stickers and sticker residue, I suggest a drop or two of olive oil. It does the trick and won't make a toxic mess like some chemical solvents do.

Anthony, have you considered using sanding sponges? I swear by them for getting into grooves and angles.
