Position by position, ranking the best players on Earth. Tracking how the list changes over time. Now, the Outide Centres. Searing breaks in the outside channel but also an intelligent rugby mind to shut out the threats posed in defence - often said to be the hardest position to defend on the field. It turns out experience matters for the number 13 jersey!

Had serious ringrose withdrawl symptoms this year, he just couldn't get back on the team so delighted hes back in action for autumn.
  • The only man that makes sense whilst talking about rugby, our honorary saffa, I send my greetings, interesting topic I must say.
  • Yup I’m one of those guys who will have to eat their words about Jesse Kriel. He’s always been defensively very solid but for the first time in his Bok career he’s playing with genuine confidence on attack and he’s becoming a game changer. Hard to believe he’s already on over 70 caps. Eventually living up to that potential!

How Jones is a brilliant player. underrated for some reason. smart rugby player and got some serious acceleration.
  • Garry Ringrose is a hitman...and Ireland's key defensive coordinator. Legend.
  • The Irish have been blessed with great centres of late. Kriel has a good story of pushing his way thru all challenges.

Tim I just want to say thank you, I f ING love you, you are arguably the best ambassador we have in Rugby
  • There’s so much world class talented 13’s. Lukhanyo Am went from probably being the worlds number 1 outside centre in 2021/22 to dropping to 7th place! I know he’s been injured but Jesse Kriel has rightfully grabbed that number 1 spot. Also watch out for Irelands up and coming 21yo Jamie Osborne who can play 12,13 & 15. Superb, gifted footballer and just recently beat South Africa in his first game at 15. Incredible player.
  • More superb insights from Tim. Keep it up. Your passion and knowledge shine through.

Agree Ringrose deserves #1 when he’s healthy, and his return v Boks looked like he’s back.. Huw Jones has been playing great and I expect him to move up the list next time.

Looking forward to the rest of the positions. Enjoyed all vids thoroughly

Just like with scrum-half, no.1 was never in doubt. Tim has been consistent with these 2 positions.
  • I think you will see Billy Proctor push through this year, he is class and will be able to release the AB back 3 in a way we have not seen since Conrad Smith retired, Leonard Brown to cover 12 and 13 with Reiko either been forced wider or to the extended squad.

Jamie Osborne for one who is bubbling under. I know he played 15 vs boks but usually in the centres and is very good at 13
  • Funny to think that maybe 18 months ago people were saying kriel shouldn’t be in the Bon squad now look at him, probably the best 13 in the world and still improving at that, it’s great to see
  • I’m using these lists to predict your Lions XV/23. Wonder if you’ll do a video on that pre the new year
  • So relieved Ringrose is back, love Henshaw but he’s a 12. Ireland and Leinster have missed him ☘️

Slade is criminally underrated, from a kiwi. Good to see him on this list I do believe Am should be higher based in historical performance, and Ioane lower (seriously, if distribution skills are a key element of the position.....🤨). Proctor will likely move up and ALB maybe too, although wonder if he'll be used as bench cover for the remainder of his int'l career so play at 12 more

My Hurricanes bias showing through. BILLY PROCTOR!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Love your work 👏👏👏
