The Atlantic Is Unusually Favorable For Development (Tropics Update For Invest 94 And 95 L)

Interests in the Caribbean should pay close attention to the weather over the next week to 10 days as the the Atlantic is unusually favorable for development this time of year. We are currently tracking Invest 94 L and Invest 95 L in and approaching the Caribbean islands. The Atlantic is looking much more like August than late June or early July to start the 2024 hurricane season.

    Great info, as always; thanks for the tropical update. The TUTT can also provide upper-level difluence in the SE quadrant, providing exhaust for tropical waves or cyclones to develop. It can be an enhancing feature, but under the TUTT itself will provide downward vertical motion. Good point about driving the system south of the Saharan dust. Thanks.
