CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Jeanie (Jennifer Grey) reluctantly enters into a conversation with a stranger (Charlie Sheen) at the police station.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Teenaged Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) is a legend in his own time thanks to his uncanny skill at cutting classes and getting away with it. Intending to make one last grand duck-out before graduation, Ferris calls in sick, "borrows" a Ferrari, and embarks on a one-day bacchanal through the streets of Chicago. Dogging Ferris' trail at every turn is high-school principal Rooney (Jeffrey Jones), determined to catch Bueller in the act of class-cutting. Writer/director John Hughes once again tries to wed satire, slapstick, and social commentary, as Ferris Bueller's Day Off starts like a house afire and goes on to make "serious" points about status-seeking and casual parental cruelties. It brightens up considerably in the last few moments, when Ferris' tattletale sister (Jennifer Grey) decides to align herself with her merry prankster sibling. A huge moneymaker, Ferris Bueller's Day Off eventually spawned a TV sitcom.

In this scene, Charlie Sheen's character is called "boy in police station" on the script, and he is essentially extremely intoxicated and messed up on all sorts of drugs. In order to prepare for this very MINOR role, Charlie Sheen stayed up for 48 hours straight in order to make himself look like a sloppy mess, and 'wasted'. If he did that much preparation for this tiny role, we can only imagine how much preparation he did for his role in Two and a Half Men.

Sheen was acting, he stayed up for two days to get the right image.

"Oh, you know him?" - best line of the movie.
  • 1:30-1:35 "You want to spend a little more time worrying about yourself, little less time worrying about what someone else does." I totally agree. That's so goddamn true and right.

i've never realized that charlie was so handsome in the 80's

"If you say Ferris Bueller, you lose a testicle." "Oh you know him." crunch

Charlie Sheen was hilarious. Told it like it was. Great minor character.
  • I think they both make great points. On one hand, wallowing about how her brother never gets caught will only make her more miserable and won’t help her in any productive way. But at the same time, it really is unfair that Ferris has the world wrapped around his finger and she doesn’t. If you had a brother like that, wouldn’t you also be jealous and pissed?

"Oh, you know him." LOL.... One of THE greatest movies of all time.
  • He stayed up 48 hours prior to filming this scene to get that drugged out effect

C: Drugs? J: No tank you I'm straight. C: No, I meant are you in here for drugs? J: What are you in here for? C: Drugs.
  • "You want to spend a little more time dealing with yourself, a little less time worrying about what your brother does" 💯

As someone who works night shifts, I have a hard time believing Charlie Sheen could stay awake for 48 hours and manage to shoot this scene without forgetting most of his dialogue or passing out mid-take. HELL is the only word that can describe being in that state, and all you want is the sanctuary of a soft bed.

"I know what's wrong... I just wanna hear you say it" 😂😂
