Back to the MAU... or MCUAU.... or whatever they call this universe. I've been wanting to talk about this show, but struggle on writing the script. Thanks to Vol. 3 I got the inspiration and finished the review. Kind of short, but it's done! Let's see how many people remember this existed.

Fun fact: James Gunn watched the show and hated the song choices. I’ve no idea why but he has stated that he hated the song choices for the show.

Gamora being racist to humans in this show is weird and ironic to me, considering she falls in love with Nova in the comics and Star-Lord in the movies

They completely wasted Korvac. One of the most strongest Cosmic characters in the entire Marvel Universe and they waste him in a... dating episode? The Avengers literally died to this guy and this is what they do to him.

Really, my problem with the Disney XD Marvel animation shows as a whole was that the universe was so inconsistent and disorganized. Each show would literally retcon events, character designs, their shows in general just to fit with the movies and the people behind behind these shows just basically said get over it. I also agree that the best parts of the show was where they were taking inspirations from the comics rather than the movies or theme parks. I also didn’t like how this show along, with Avengers Assemble ended the way it did. Like all the other marvel shows that came out before Disney Plus existed such as Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Avengers Assemble, and The Runaways, I feel like the reason why the show ended the way it did was because Marvel and Disney were starting to go through some changes around the time Infinity War and Endgame came out.

The problem with the show is it tried way too hard to be like the James Gunn movies, while also trying to adapt the Brian Michael Bendis. Unfortunately both of these things didn't go so well.

Can we all agree that the guardians of the Galaxy animated series was not just a mediocre adaptation of the James Gunn movies but also the Brian Michael Bendis comics. Granted the BMB comics are... Not that good and were even more mediocre than the show, but at least there were some good things about those comics. The Guardians got new members such as Iron Man, The Thing, Agent Venom, Captain Marvel, Thor's sister Angela and Kitty Pryde.

I am so hyped for your Hulk and the Agents review. My disgust for that show runs too deep, and seeing someone else talk about it will be cathartic.

They completely wasted the Guardians disbanding concept. One would think that Peter would move back to Earth and search out whatever family he has left. Rocket and Groot are a pair and would never leave each other. Drax from the comics has a two adopted daughters. Gamora and Nebula would team up and disband Thanos's empire.

Marvel's Cosmic Saga deserved a better adaptation than a Disney XD show. The Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning Guardians of the Galaxy were soo good and had some of the best storylines in Marvel.

Peter Quill's sister actually comes from the Brian Michael Bendis comics.

Am I the only one who is still BLOWN away by the fact that Star-Lord from EMH was voiced by Steve Downes aka the Master Chief.

It could have been a Saturday morning 80's type cartoon....But it was just a forgettable Disney channel cartoon Bruh😢

The biggest problem was the Disney XD's shows trying to intertwine themselves with the MCU, while at the same time, trying to do their own thing, which was very apparent even as a kid. It just left everything a convoluted mess with random storylines happening with no basis, characters randomly changing designs, personalities, or even just showing up out of the blue. Not to mention this was supposed to be a continuation from EMH, and let's not start with them trying to connect all the shows together. There's good, or at the very least interesting, ideas in the shows but they never last long and some even handled really poorly It really says something that even as a kid you get fed up with the bs

Fun Fact: Star-Lord was voiced by Steve Downes The voice of Master Chief from the Halo franchise.

Mantis as a villain just doesn't work. Even in the original Guardians of the Galaxy comics by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, she was a member and Ally to the group.

Jeez, Disney DX’s marvel shows are a bigger mess than the dceu lol.

Sam was acting like the Human Torch, in Marvel Ultimate Spider-Man.

This show, according to Marvel wiki, used to be part of Earth-12041 before it became part of Spider-Man TV 2017 show
