How The Archives and The Rift Work in DBD 2021 [Dead by Daylight Guide]

Hi! In this DBD guide, I fully explain and breakdown how The Archives and The Rift work in Dead by Daylight! I go into further detail on how Tomes work, the challenges within them, as well as explaining what the "Current Tome" and the "Compendium" are. I finish off the video with a quick summary on how the whole thing works.
The Archives look pretty intimidating and confusing at first, but after watching this video you should have a good idea on how The Archives work and how to use it :)
The Archives contain challenges you can do in-game to unlock bonus bloodpoints, DBD lore, cosmetics, charms, and more, while The Rift is DBD's Battle Pass feature to unlock more cosmetics and charms!

The Archives were pretty daunting and confusing to me when I first played DBD, so I hope this video helped some people out who didn't know how it worked! P.S. Before Corrector Chris comes in, I just wanted to add that there is technically a 3rd normal challenge called "glyphs" but these act like the general challenges so I decided not to mention them :)

Thanks for the info cuz i started to play the game from when the 3rd tier chellanges for the awakening came up and i was havin no clue how the rift works so ty for the info cuz i was just doin em for the charms didnt even pay attention for the bloodpoints and other so yea again thanks for the info keep it up

The animation when you click the archives looks better animated than most the characters animations.

The lore is so good and feels rewarding but is very hard to do and time consuming

Also the charm at the end of every tome at level 4 is interactive. For example the eye charm actually blinks and the entity abstract charm has a glowing ball orbiting inside it.

Thankyou for this, I only started playing 2 weeks ago so I had no clue what the rift was, but I’m doing decent on survivor as I’m almost rank 7

You should also mention if you buy the Battle Pass Premium with Auric Cells, and complete all 70 levels, you essentially get refunded back the same amount of Cells you spent as you get rewarded Cells during the level up.
