He didn't understand basic human emotions or empathy. When the front door swung open, Adriana held her breath, covering her mouth. But that wouldn't change the outcome. Nothing could. Not when Albert was coming. The bedroom door slammed open, causing Adriana to let out a sob. "please, god.." She whispered, glancing up, only to be met with a devilish smirk and a whisper. "God can't save you now." Said the employee. "Who are you?" Adriana cried, to which the employee replied. "I work for Die Mart, and you've been selected." Adriana felt her heart skip a beat and she shakily exhaled, looking down. "wh-what can I-" Before getting cut off by the employee. "Well, lucky for you, you get to pick! Either you die or Jason does- special round!" Said the employee proudly. Adriana froze. "w-what.. who is that.." She mumbled, trying to jog her memory to remember. Jason. Who is Jason..? Amid her thoughts, she was punched in the gut- hard. She coughed in pain, stumbling backward and covering her stomach. She got winded, as well, and it was not an enjoyable experience in the least. She held her hand out, watching her child get slapped across the face by the employee. She reached forward, grabbing her child's hand and crying. "COME ON!" She shouted as she saw the employee pull out a knife. She grabbed her child and ran out of the apartment, which was enough to make the employee laugh and run after them. Adriana took her son inside and slammed the door, panting. "please please please-" She begged to whatever god was listening. She locked the door, panting as she hugged her child. "please- if it comes back- run-" She said between sobs as the door was kicked repeatedly. The more kicks the door took, the more the woman got worried. Until it went silent. She hugged her child tightly. "..oh my- we're safe.. we're safe-" When all of a sudden the wall beside them came crashing down. She screamed in horror, letting her son go as she beckoned him to run. "GO!" She shouted, standing up and stumbling behind him, but she collapsed, standing up. "COUGH-" She attempted to run away, but she was too late. The employee smirked and shouted. "OH, NO YOU DON'T!" They kicked her and forced her into the kitchen, right in front of her son. They continued beating her until eventually she coughed and begged in pain. "..kill.. me.." She whispered, receiving a stab to the gut, a puddle of blood beneath her. Her son stood there, falling onto his knees. "..momm..y?" As the employee licked the blood off their cheek, turning and walking away. Their job was done. "NO!" She child shouted, wailing as they hugged their mother. "..MOMMY! W-WAHHH! MOMMYY!" (oh my god I LOVE writing serious stuff about stupid things)
