Wowza, Dev Patel really grew into a gorgeous man.
  • @lrod2004
Love how Nick exclaims “Monkey Maaaan!!!” Looking forward to seeing this.

Indian political leaders are usually intertwined with spirituality and politics. And the trans community use to be so revered as warriors and those served and took care of shakti temples, which represents the female and male presence within all of us. It's so true that the government is not opening opportunity to their community. Im glad you guys did such a deep dive review. 🫶🏽✨

Man, I look forward to your spoilers more than the movies themselves these days. I’m loving it😂

Dev Patel is gorgeous! He is captivating on screen ❤

I really wanted this to be good, and I hope it does well so we get more films directed by Dev. He's very talented. Kudos to Peele for getting this picked up in theatres. Thanks guys.
  • I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie. I'm so happy for Dev Patel. People finally get to see him in a different light and people finally get to see how talented he really is.
  • Saw this today. Dev is absolutely explosive 🧨 Quadruple threat-actor, director, writer, producer of this epic !

A Hero for a marginalized group, and a tale of good over evil with music you liked - the familiar theme was fine with you too - Dev Patel should be happy!
  • Dev Patel broke his hand They ran out of money and had to stop shooting for a year They didn’t have a fight team, so it was just death and one fight choreographer

I cannot tell you how much I loved your review of Love Lies Bleeding. You pointed out several detail that I didn’t notice but that made the movie much more coherent. Thanks so much guys. I loved it too!🥰

I think Dev Patel is one of the handsomest men acting. I am a wimp when it comes to violence, but I still really want to see this. I like that the story is deeper than most action movies. I also love the trans inclusion!

Just saw it today. Wish it was a little shorter. Great action scenes. Dev is very talented so I'm so happy he got support for this project.

Just finished Monkey Man. Awesome Film. The TONE was gritty and VERY cool. Love the Nightime City Shots, and the n3on lights throughout the film. THIS is GONNA BANG ON 4kUHD. SUPER REWATCHABLE MOVIE. Dev Patel is a movie star, in my eyez now. Never cared about him. Now I want to see everything he has done. Never seen Slumdog, so might be a good place to start.
  • Joseph mentioned several times how we don't know what happened to "Bobby" in his missing years, I would offer this theory: the reason why we see children in so many shots, i.e. little girl sleeping on cardboard overnight, little kid selling snacks at the fight ring, little kid as the messenger when he goes to buy a gun, is because those are all younger versions of himself. The only problem I had with this movie and Slumdog Millionarie, is that Dev Patel speaks the most posh unaccented English, if he'd really been a street child, then how? ? And his ability to speak so well is integral to the plot and his ability to get jobs at a 5 star hotel

I haven't seen yet (really looking forward to it), but I thought I'd defend Dev's physique a little.😅 While getting hit by significantly bigger people who actually know how to throw punches could take down even the best conditioned fighters, at his height and weight, he could do significant damage to any person of any size. Granted movies will always push this possibility to extremes beyond reality, but Muay Thai fighters condition their bodies (shins and abdomen) for years to take punches/kicks and there necks to brace for head shots. If he has been training since a young age, he could feasibly take down anyone with the right strikes and be able to take a lot of damage (if he's blocking and parrying most of the time). I train Muay Thai and I'm an actor, now beginner stunt performer so I like to look at those scenes from a real perspective and from a filmmakers perspective too. The new Roadhouse is hilarious because there is NO WAY Jake Gyllenhaal would be able to win against Connor McGregor. Jake's boxing was fine but he cannot kick or grapple, and Connor McGregor, as insane and horrible as he is, does know MMA and has at least 30lbs on Jake Gyllenhaal. I don't care that Dalton was supposed to be impervious to pain with head shots, that many punches to head by Connor McGregor would turn your brains into jelly. 😂

Glad to hear you give this a 3.5, I was worried that it might just be a fun trailer.

I love that Dev put the trans situation in India into this, I can't wait
