You’ve got to love people like Matthew, who call in claiming to have concrete proof for their flavour of god, only to spend the first part of the call arguing for why we should all have as painfully low standards of evidence and rationality as they do.

[Much love to Caller <333] 2:18:43 Ken (he/him) - Atheist | Caller does not agree with the use of foul language during arguments/debates and wants to understand "the other side," why would someone think it's ok to use it. 2:44:19 Brian (he/him) - Theist | Caller is getting closer to non-belief in any god, but he still thinks that there are certain things that science can't explain, but that religion can, so he wants to talk about it with hosts. I used to play soccer, one of the other guys was decent at soccer but Nationally Ranked in the top 100 badminton players in the USA. One day a bunch of guys started giving him guff about playing a "weak" sport, so he challenged them to try and beat him at badminton. He absolutely dominated everyone that went up against him, he was even letting people play doubles against just him and nobody could score a single point. At soccer, I could take him apart, at badminton I couldn't do anything that was even difficult for him to handle.

Gotta say, Seth was fcuking outstanding on that call with Lexi. I hope Lexi takes comfort from the hosts' words and finds peace on their journey.

Ken's call was interesting. I understood what he was trying to explain, and then Seth explained it in his almost impeccable way (he is so good at it) by steelmanning Ken's position. It seemed to me that Matt did not understand that when Ken said that he agrees with Matt's clarification, but that Ken was talking about tactics and strategies from the position of the person on the other side of the call. The song by Tim is great, but was not needed, as Ken himself already agreed with Matt. And I agree with Ken and Seth. I prefer the tactics and strategies of people like Seth and Forrest. I don't need any data to understand that it gives more room to open up the conversation. I just need empathy.

We already have a word for reality ... reality. So, reality exists but not your myth.

David is a living proof that animal already evolved to be smarter than some of us. He could have you that to checkmate Matt right there and then.
