God it took me too long to realise OnePlus isn't actually releasing a folding phone.... 9 minutes...
  • For me the iPad Pro is so important for my workflow - as a trainer and an accountant - I use the pen to jot client meeting notes / I use the large screen to show the client reports etc when meeting in person and for training, it's my device for all my notes to provide a training session - I use it more as a companion to my laptop - but it has become essential, pretty sure if I was in the windows world, the Galaxy Tab would be the equivalent.

I use the iPad mini, but like tablets in general as additions to phones. I have the mini to travel with for entertainment and also to take notes on when reviewing contracts away from my computer (although phone screens are "big" they're too small for reviewing lots of info imo). I also use the tablet for reading books. I use my phone (pixel 4a 5g - but looking to upgrade later this year) for quick email responses, messaging, listening to podcasts, scheduling/productivity and I guess calling. My computer (currently a 2014 MacBook air but hoping to transition to one of the M1 desktop products) is used for drafting more complex emails, drafting documents, and doing research. I also do some light video editing currently but am hoping to do even more in the future.

I've used my S7+ a couple years and preordered S8 Ultra. Have always used both 90-something % of time as a desktop (with keyboard/mouse). Luckily free keyboard included with S8 Ultra, but probably still use mouse if possible. Mouse on Android is great. Trade in helped to get it for $500. Regarding DEX, which was meant to use a small phone/tablet on a big screen. With S8 Ultra, you don't really need DEX. I like using my S7+ as desktop. Popup windows act like individual windows. My video editor (KineMaster) can't popup, but I do that full screen and make everything else popup in front. Alt-tab'ing to switch. I haven't used Windows or my Surface Pro at home in years. I even VPN to work through Android and with that kind of screen resolution, works very well. Works for me for home use and YT content creation very well. You just have to get familiar with all the capabilities.

Great podcast. The convo on brands looking at the wrong Youtube metrics was interesting, y'all could definitely start a (social media/marketing) consulting side hustle 😂

I love listening to your podcasts on Spotify while driving or cycling. Cheers 🍻 to this wonderful podcast

As a guy in sales, the tablet seems like it'd be amazing for me as I don't want to lug a computer around for presentations, and my phone is too small for that kind of thing. I have an iPad air 4 but I hate the ios experience and have wanted an android so this would fit the need of having a tablet for in home sales, and give me more places to be able to work without having to be at my computer at home to build proposals and such.

I have the Tab S7+ and it's been great for me as a teacher teaching remotely or in the classroom. It is also a great media machine and the second screen feature with Windows is something I use often

tablets r the students’s Valhalla. I bought an Ipad this summer and albeit i’m a CS student so i like need the somewhat beefy laptop but math classes, econ classes, being able to scribble directly on a powerpoint and not losing a paper the second i step out of class. It’s everything I want and more. Flying home or to school? Super fun to read and or watch videos on. On a lighter course load day? Just taking the tablet around with me and i can bum around in a coffee shop and if i really need it bluetooth keyboard. It fits in like a perfect puzzle piece !

I have never used my subscription feed, until this year, I almost only watch stuff in my sub box now, and it really helps me not scroll forever.

Thanks for such a nice pode cast. I don't usually finish watching a podcast, this one involved me, really liked the tab s8 ultra section as well as the Zac sections. Keep up the good work guys. Take care, God bless
  • Love the show/channel. In case it was forgotten. The 15.6 inch galaxy book pro 360 is another touch screen Oled display.

As a student I have all 3 devices, all mid tier (Poco x3, lenovo legion 5 and galaxy tab s6 lite) and it's honestly great. I use the tablet in classes to take notes, read whatever I need and just generaly use for school purposes or watching media content on the go, laptop for gaming, media content at home, any longer assignments and so on, and use the phone for the regular phone stuff like social media, contacting people, taking photos and so on. It's much easier to carry the tablet around than the pc, and the S pen is honestly amazing so it was definitely worth the investment.

22:57 the other keyboard cover that doesn't have a track pad is actually the same. The S Pen can be stored in there too for that other keyboard case.
