The Edgerunners are hired to find the missing daughter of a rich corporate exec. Their investigation brings them face to face with multiple gangs, and a threat that might no longer be human. Written by Jay Parker and James Hutt, the scenario appears in adventure collection Tales of the Red, published by R. Talsorian Games.

8:46 the fact that he's wearing the same leather duster while making fun of the outfit is gold 😂
  • @KingofBlades113
Fun fact Lord Ruthven was the first Vampire in English literature. He first appeared in John William Polidori's The Vampyre first published in 1819. He also was probably loosely based on Lord Byron

I laughed so hard I literally wheezed and squeaked when Jack showed the goth pics. Hard to not talk about Jack like his own person but god Seth's self-deprecating humor is peak.
  • @Frostfly
Using Jack to make fun of your past self is something everyone should try to channel. We were all idiots at time as kids. Hope the remodel is going well!

When I ran this for my players, I changed the dracula performance into a full blown rave complete with cyber goths and techno playing. Still fits the vampire theme while feeling more cyberpunk. You could even have fake blood raining down on the rave, like that one scene in Blade.

The image of young Seth puts this video over the top into an esteemed position among the greatest that you've ever produced. And banter regarding your facial hair? Top notch. Oh, and, uh, the scenario looks like it's enjoyable too. Another one I'll have to plan to run with my group.

I like the idea that Lucy was originally supposed to be in a different Professor's Psych Class, but the Vampire nut finagled her into one of his classes. So he met her somewhere (Freshman Mixer, or a previous class), then this semester had her put into his class. Explain that sometimes the professors do that.... maybe they see promise in a student, or to schmooze a particular parent. With a skill roll, hint at some less savory reasons....

I'm taking my players through another Tales of the Red adventure right now, Reaping the Reaper. This adventure was also on my list of possible ones to throw at them.
  • @vandermore
Hey Seth, don't let Jack get you down about your college look. Many of us went through the awkward mustache phase too.
  • George ran you through an adventure and you didn’t burn it down by declaring “bombshell”? Does this mean the curse is broken?😜
  • @ClothesCat
As someone who picked up Red recently and is in fact loving it as hoped: Thank you for doing a module review for Red and please keep making them. With a background in DnD and CoC I feel like Gromit laying tracks.
  • @TheManKnownAsAi
Hell yeah. Always great to get more module reviews. Have you ever considered doing more Delta Green? Your Last Things Last review got me into the game
  • @DahVoozel
If this was ShadowRun, would been an actual vampire.
  • @harrycraig7794
Awesome to see you do a video on this one! This adventure ended up inspiring the whole corporate conspiracy my campaign revolves around, so I’m definitely pretty attached to it. Also, one of my players decided that his character’s personal conspiracy theory was that he believed VtM style vampires existed, so having him interact with the Philharmonics was tons of fun. Great stuff as always, Seth!
  • 8:45 It’s moments like this when I forget Jack the NPC isn’t a separate person! 😂 Also, REAL glad the Bodyworks stuff was mentioned before it showed a picture. Gave me time to look away, ‘cus cadavers are like my one irrational phobia
  • @euansmith3699
Goth Seth looks awesome! The tattooed carpet made me go, "Eeeeew!"
  • @Woodclaw
While working on the Italian translation of this adventure I anticipated a lot of the points made by Seth, especially the ones of about linking the professor to the rest of the story. I have to say, a some of the story in Tales of the RED are a bit "scatterbrained" in providing information but at the same time very linear, they feel more like a framework.
  • @BardicMonk
Seth, thanks for the review because I just started a CPR campaign for my group. We've got current Seth as the branch manager for Scott Brown PropCom's East Branch. Now he's got a ganger son who's going to be based on this college photo. Always happy to see new content even if it's amongst boxes. Hope you have a great weekend!
  • @Gebohq
Given your group's penchant for both Cyberpunk and for investigative games, I'm wondering if the Blade Runner RPG's Electric Dreams will make an appearance in a review on this channel at some point. :)
  • @Ropetupa
"Night at the opera" screams to me to be a Cthulhu-scenario, but as an Cyberpunk scenario...
