Kerala’s Wayanad was struck with massive multiple landslides in the early hours of today. The first landslide happened around 3 am in the morning. At the time of recording this news report, over 50 people are killed and hundreds are feared trapped inside the debris. This deadly disaster comes as heavy rainfall continues in Kerala. PM Modi has expressed anguish over the loss of lives. He has also spoken to Kerala CM and has assured him of all possible help from the centre. Moreover, PM Modi has announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the families who died, and the injured would be given Rs 50,000
