I actually like emboar... Not just because he was my gen V starter, but because he had the (at the time) unque distinction of being able to learn a move of every starters' primary types (Scald for water, grass knot for grass, and wild charge for electric), which I just really enjoyed.

popplio has been my favorite since the first announcement of the alolan starters! there’s so much hate for such an awesome strong pokémon but popplio will always be special to me

I also did a radical red play through but the file was deleted. The team I remember I had was Swampert, Premarina, Umbreon, Blazeken, Septile and An Ash Pikachu. The mega alternated with the three hoenn starters (best trio of starters in my opinion)

Mega Sceptile dominated so many battles in my first 2 Runs of Radical Red. I love my Sceptile so much after this Game. Radical Red is great.

the boy in viridian who asks what's up is actually a cheat code npc that gives you rare candies. In the game console in Red's room, if you click A and type in "Woyaopp" it activates the cheat and the youngster will then say "I guess you're in the know" and give you rare candies and pomeg berries (friendship berries) if you click on yes. Pretty convenient when you've played the game over 10 times (like me lol cuz i love RR) and just want to try various monotype challenges or randomized nuzlockes and stuff.

Surprised you didn't also use the Meganium Triage combo. You should try a pikachu only run. with the caps you can get in celadon. It'll be near impossible, but fun none the less

Sceptile should have always had Dragon as its secondary typing. I'm convinced they initially planned it to but removed it for balancing issues.
