  • did you know that the iconic dolphin noise used in Spongebob is not actually a noise that comes from a dolphin but rather is the chirp from an Australian bird known as a kookaburra
  • @maccamachine
spongebob doesn’t even feel like a normal cartoon at this point it feels like something else entirely idk how to explain it but i fucking love spongebob
  • @squimbus
I'm almost certain the "Actors cussing" part of the iceberg is actually from the episode "Sailor Mouth" where the actors who's words were censored with the comedic sped up kookaburra tweet (which was mistaken for a dolphin) were actual swears rather than placeholder swears, considering Tom Kenny's Elf voice sample was inspiration for the voice he uses for voicing Spongebob
  • 24:19 The main reason people think Yummer was a deformed and evil Sandy is because in the games files there is also a asset of a torn up Sandy suit also some people believed Yummer killed Sandy and the game was going to be darker and scarier until it was debunked
  • @todangtall
I always thought Bikini Bottom houses where smokestacks. When a navy ship is taken out of service, it is purposefully sunk (or scuttled.) This creates an artificial coral reef.
  • @idna832
I find it funny how much the deadly sins theory persisted considering how nobody can agree which characters represent what sin, there are always holes and janky justifications in people explanations and it was debunked
  • @torismith1337
i am 18 years old and i still consider having a spongebob tv as my biggest flex
  • I like how you don't even try to be scary and terrify your audience, you just explain what happened for most parts and even cracking a few jokes along the way. You earned yourself a like!

for those who don't know, Nosferatu was a German silent film spoof on Bram Stoker's Dracula though with differences. his real name was Count Orlock who was a spoof on Dracula who was inspired by Stoker's memories of his parents telling him stories of vampires as well as the real life tyrant, Vlad the Impaler of Wallachia.
  • 6:44 Thats actually a cool idea. It adds onto the fun of how silly some of the designs for the popsicles would come out
  • All good points about the deadly sins theory, but it's important to remember that lust isn't always sexual. Lust is defined as a hyperfocus or obsession on something. Spongebob fits this really well because he's obsessed with almost everything he does. His job, jellyfishing, his friends-- it's good that he loves those things, but there are some points where he takes it too far (like the episodes where he cries at closing time or bothers Squidward because he wants to play with him so badly)
  • Spongehenge was so creepy to watch as a child lmao. It wasn't just the ending, it was the whole vibe of the episode plus that wind song that attracted jellyfish. Amongst the creepiest episodes along with Gone
  • @Simplejackfade
You missed an opportunity by not calling the last level Rock bottom.
  • Fun fact: squidward in dutch is actually named correctly he is called octo in the dutch dub
  • I’ve always had a weird vibe about SpongeBob…I loved it as a kid but the more I look into it the creepier it gets. I remember having nightmares about Patrick breaking into my house and lurking in the darkness. Maybe reading all those SpongeBob creepypastas until two in the morning didn’t help
  • @VivyTheHuntress
The “Actors Cursing” could also refer to the fact that the actors actually swore before being censored in post production of the episode “Sailor Mouth”
  • @tomb.524
Regarding the "just one bite" episode: I'm extremely sure that back in the days I saw a version of the episode (in Germany) where the parts with the buckets of gasoline were cut, but the explosion and Squidward coming through the door were still there without any context. Maybe it's the Mandela effect or something like that but I am pretty sure. Edit, cause I think some people fail to understand me: I know the scene has been cut because of 9/11 or something, I watched the video too otherwise I wouldn't have written a comment about something that was in the video. But I remember it only partially being cut, with only the gasoline buckets missing but with the explosion and Squidward being burned still there.

For anyone wondering, at 11:00 Mr Krabs was saying “Any port in a storm” before being cut off.
  • I'm surprised this ice berg doesn't talk about the end credits. They never scared me but I know a ton of people were unsettled and afraid of them
