First time i watched your videos, about 2 years ago. And since then, (because of corona) i'm cutting my hair every ~2 months. So thanks again :) Also, because i have 2 years of experience now 😄, i kinda think that fading may be too much for beginners. I still have problems when it comes to area around the ears, they are too much in the way, and ruin the fading. So i even decided to use only one length for the sides, as short as possible, maybe 6 or 9 mm, and only do the proper fading at the back. It looks a lot smoother like that. But everybodys hair and taste is different, so its up to you.

I see having a cordless clipper makes a big difference!

Great instruction, im gonna follow the first one, i usually start with the top and get into a situation where i constantly have to switch lengths, no efficient structure.. Edit: Gonna take down the top first with like 28 mm if its too long of course...

if u have like 5 or 6 on top what do u use on sides

I really struggle with blending. I try and do it like this, but the clipper seems to just "push up" the long hair on top, instead of cutting it. So it cuts the hair growing directly on my sides, but doesn't cut the hair on top that hangs over the sides. The result is I get a very sudden/harsh "fade" where my hair goes from short to suddenly long. I also really struggle with doing the back. It usually takes me 1-2 hours to get a satisfactory result, and even then it's still not perfect...

Which is your preferred method? Top-bottom (1) or Bottom-top (2)?

are you a barber/stylist?
