I'm a pen aficionado; that is to say, I spend a disproportionate amount of time writing notes, drawing diagrams, and jotting down ideas - this is all to say that when it comes to pens, I know what I'm talking about.

Modern Fuel was kind enough to send me this titanium version of their very successful Bolt-Action Pen, being the most highly crowdfunded bolt-action pen.

In this video, I explore everything you need to know to get up to speed and, if you were already interested, to make an informed purchasing decision. I share the set-up, and how-to change refills to any refill you want, talk about the mechanism and the benefits of bolt-action, whether Modern Fuel's manufacturing is of high quality, and even share a few criticisms and wish-list items I have.

The Modern Fuel bolt action pen is an interesting meeting point between a highly durable and functional workhorse pen, and a luxury pen in terms of quality, manufacturing, and aesthetics.

I am, of course, also giving away a Titanium Bolt-Action pen by modern fuel, and look forward to you entering the giveaway for your chance to get it.

I am in the process of completing my EDC kit. I have most of the item which I collected for a year now. This pen will definitely be a welcome edition to the family. I mostly use a pen outside in the office to take down a quick note for further reference. Thanks for the chance to really own a nice piece of gear.

Can't imagine having a pen as it is so essential to our life and most often we take it for granted. I like the modern gel ink pen and my favourite is the Pilot G2.
  • @jooky5
Seems like a well-designed pen. Your criticisms are spot on. I’d add one more: there are cheaper options that don’t require so many steps to use different inks (grafton, big idea design, etc)
  • @ekiwinz
I love the tactile feel of using a pen on paper , I have in the past looked for more premium pens that will take my favorite refill of the month and gave up because it was so complicated. Having a pen that is adjustable in this way would mean i wasnt limited to just one brands refills and that would be amazing

Great Review - I keep an old cross stainless pen around I've had for many years- a gift from a favorite teacher.
  • @laniemon
Thank you for another clear, concise but still fun to watch review vid. As for me, I'm now alternating between the tombow airpress & uni ball power tank for my day to day use (admittedly not much as I like). Good luck to those entering for the giveaway!.
  • I have been going back and forth Pilot G2s and Pilot VBalls. This kind of high end pens have been in my radar for a while but the cost of them make them some what difficult to justify. Love your videos, keep up with your hard work!
  • @nnelgify
I use the O light pen pro. BTW great video. Loved the precise indepth reviewm

I work as a apprentice engineer and a good pen is a must in my work. This pen definitely reflects my profession. Thanks for the giveaway and wish me luck.

I use a pen in my daily work quite a bit but I don't have a proper pen that I carry. 😅 that's is the reason I am looking for online reviews to find me a good one. Glad I found your review.
  • @devilselbow69
Love the pen and nice review. I keep an old Parker pen which belongs to my father juat to remind me of him.
  • @fingercutz
I like to write down my thoughts and idea on a note book. In this digital age, I still find that writing down on a piece of physical paper still the best. I find that the practice do carry weight and helps me memorise my thoughts better.
  • @maximuscts
Awesome review, my staple is the Pilot G2 which I like the gel ink. I been meaning to get a fancy for my writing and I am interested in this offering.
  • @mizermira
The Fisher Bullet Space pen have been my long time favourite! Don't feel right if I Don't have one in hand. I use it in all the project I am involved as it give me to comfort and confidence to carry out any task.
  • I use disposable pens for the most part, i'm always afraid of losing them! But this one looks amazing, good luck to everyone for the giveaway!
  • @andrewdrill
Thank God for nice things we can carry around which is super useful in our everyday life. As an artist, I carry multiple pen and markers in a pencil case. I draw alot for my clients and your offering is too good to pass off. I wish to give it a shot and test my luck. Fingers crossed!
  • @bladeworx7
Now that is a nice pen to have on any occasion. My current pen I carry around is the Sharppie S gel.
  • @spyrocrow
I always like to use the Pilot g2 color ink pen for my notes. Still a student and color pen helps me make important notes.
  • @BillDrives
This is a very nice pen. The deal breaker for me is not having a clip. I normally prefer a pen with a finger grip for comfort. This is why I'm all for the Zebra G-450 as it is both cheap, reliable, and writes great for extended periods.
