I friggin loved The Ugly Duckling and Me so much as a kid. The dated animation makes it even more nostalgic, it gives me the same feeling as Pikmin 2 due to the small characters and environments.

Ohmihod-ohmigod-ohmidod... YOU HAVE UNLOCKED A CORE MEMORY I THOUGHT WAS LOST MEDIA! I actually saw "Ugly Duckling and Me" on the TV waaaaay back in my childhood – and memorized it ever since! I tried finding it again recently, only having my foggy memory of a road movie with a bird and a rat, to no avail. And you HELPED ME REDISCOVER IT! Many thanks, unironically! Now I can rest easy knowing it wasn't a Candle Cove-type situation where I made up a cool reimagining of "The Ugly Duckling".

Here in Croatia, there is an animated movie called Cvrčak i Mravica, (The Cricket and Antoinette) it is the first Croatian CGI animated movie, it is just a crappy A Bug's Life ripoff, it's definitely not the worst ripoff but at least it looks better than Ant's Life.
