I RELAXED MY NATURAL HAIR AFTER 13 YEARS!😱 #relaxer #virginhair #naturalhair #relaxingnaturalhair

Hey girl, welcome to my channel.

So yea I did the thing. I relaxed my hair after 13years cuz I couldn’t keep up with my morning sickness and detangling and styling every day. I braid hair for a living, after being on my feet long hours my hair is the last thing on my mind. Once I found out I was pregnant, I had 2 options. Cut it (bald) or relax it. And I’m so glad I did, because it’s just easier to style for now until I can get past this first trimester and can put more effort into my appearance. I just don’t wanna look the way I feel right now 😂
Hope you enjoy this video.

Yesterday, I relaxed my natural hair after being natural for ten years. I watched your video along with a few other videos of ladies who relaxed their hair after years of being natural. I felt like I could relate to you more, as you were natural for 13 years. Since I got home from the salon yesterday, I've felt so sad. So depressed. I'm so disappointed in myself. I woke up crying with somewhat of an identity crisis. I regret relaxing my natural hair. I want to loc my hair next year and thought I'd want to relax here one last time before I get locs, and I am also in a season of life where I am pretty busy and don't want to take all the time to care for my natural hair like I used to when I was younger. I miss my natural hair. I regret relaxing. It's not 24 hours yet, so maybe after a few days I'll be okay emotionally. Sigh. Life is truly a journey.
  • I’ve been natural since 2013 and I’m completely over it. I was just following a hair trend to be honest 😂. Imma texlax my hair my bday month.
  • I love long, natural hair on women with African hair types, but it does seem like it takes a lot of time & effort, if you want to keep the curls defined. When I was pregnant with my second son (26 years ago) I cut my hair short and dyed it for the first time - so sick with morning sickness - it was the right decision then. Now, I’ve got the time and will to grow out and take care of my gray hair. There is a time & season for everything. Your hair turned out really shiny & beautiful. Happy pregnancy & baby. 💞🙌🏾🥰👶🏾

I relaxed mine yesterday for the first time in 6 years and I'm currently silk pressing it and I have absolutely no regrets. ❤
  • you did such a good job! most people on youtube apply the relaxer from the roots for some reason and it almost never processes and makes their hair have a bunch of different textures
  • Looks beautiful and looks good on you I relax after 2 years just wanted a change and I love it
  • You Are Absolutely Beautiful Either Way Queen!🤗😊🙏❤️🌹🌞🌈
  • It came out beautiful the style really suits you❤️

Wow, your video came up on my timeline today as I've been trying to figure out what to do with my hair. I'm tired of the natural hair. It's too much work. You are so brave to transition back to a perm. Your hair turned out really nice too. 😍
  • If I spent 13 years natural and my hair wasn’t at least past my shoulders I’d give up on life
  • I'm gonna buy a flat iron and attempt to straighten my hair before deciding on a relaxer. I never straightened my hair natural so I want to give it a go.

I remember a few years ago when we all had that guilt to be natural to prove self love to people. Yeah whateva. My hair is hella work and no one is trying to help me with it. Do what makes life easier for you
