Yo dawg, I heard you like Dark Souls Remastered, so I remastered the remaster
  • @J--Dubs
Dark Souls PTDE did not run on my laptop. Dark Souls Remastered did. So I'd say it was a pretty substantial remastered upgrade, personally.

I feel like the mod authors missed the opportunity to call this Dark Souls: Remastered: Remastered.

prod after installing mod: 'look at this sheen! look at this shine! look at that glissten! Damn dark souls, so fine!!'
  • @asarakula495
I'm starting to think that Prod is actually Snuggly the Crow.

I have used this mod and I have some pro and cons. Shiny surfaces, detailed textures and such are gorgeous, I could not say what place is better than another. I think the best you would see in the Crystal Cave and in New Londo. But generally speaking every level is very good. I have some few cons: 1) sometimes open spaces with sun might result "overexposed" (for example the gardens in DLC have too much light... blue Golems become almost white or the places with Lava.. you need sunglasses) 2) sometimes things shine, but they should not shine... like for example grass. Shiny grass is weird, but it affects the DLC areas and not the main locations.. which is somehow strange. 3) On the other extreme, some places are too dark.. for example Anor Londo with the Dark Moon is for sure WAY TOO DARK... there is no moon at all. The original is beyond doubt better with the moonlight. However usual dark places like the Chasm of Abyss and the Catacombs and Blighttown are outstanding, simply outstanding! 4) I have signaled minor errors with the textures or "bugs" if you can call them. It's mixed with more pros than cons, it could be slightly improved. If they fix these small issues is a must to enjoy DS1.
  • Prod be like that bird nest exchange NPC, wants SHINY and I can't blame him cause this shit looks good

Just remember - it's Remasterer than the Remastered, but NOT the Remastest. Because that would be InfernoPlus' mod.

Gravity death counter, day 878. 0 Deaths in this video, 89 deaths this year. i think in a few years DS1 or DS2 should get a remake like demon's souls. At this point they are making remakes of games that came out 1 year ago or whatever, plus the bluepoint remakes usually slaps. Would be a nice way to go back to this game, that was extremely limited by the technology of that time.

It looks a little off. Like firelink shrine for example. The shadows are too crisp and look fake almost. It might be that the bonfire was not producing light to make those shadows fade.

Fromsoftserve has a yt channel where he's documented the creation of the mod in videos, it's an interesting watch if you like seeing how the sausage is made.
  • @e217
The tree from the cutscene is actually there lol
  • @denisdeleu8280
This whole video has been just prod saying "look at the shinyyyy"
  • @gateyegar3444
Poor witch npc she is always forgotten before the moonlight butterfly

something awesome bout this mood is that in the original dark souls and even the remastered version a BIG part of what makes the world great is the enter connected level design and a huge part of that was getting to see parts of the map u cant reach yet ahead of time like seeing the duke's archives from sen's fortress or seeing the great hollow from fire link shrine but as much as seeing these places is great they are mostly kinda blured out or look foggy mainly due to hard wear limitations but this mod makes looking at far away places look fantastic
