GUN, made by Neversoft and Activision, came out in 2005 and... I never played it...Until now! This is one of the best western games of all time and is incredibly underrated and deserves some attention, even 17 years later.

  • Hey Carter here I just wanna say thanks for the shoutout and thanks for using the info, I love GUN and I’m honored to say I’m apart of the reason we now know about the sequel info!
  • I loved this game. I even named my first born son ‘Colton’ because of it. (His mother doesn’t know that, but she agreed on the name😂)
  • One of the guys who worked on this game was a family friend. Mailed me a copy autographed by the whole dev team when it released. One of the best presents I ever received as a kid, I absolutely adored this game.
  • @jhitbob
My father and I used to go "camping" where we'd bring a generator, old ass TV, and a PS2 and play video games when I was younger, GUN holds a very special place in my heart
  • You mean to tell me I've played this game for 13 years and I'm just now finding out Colton White was voiced by The Punisher?! I love this game even more!
  • I'll still remember that cool exchange before Hoodoo dies. "I'M HOODOO BROWN!" * gets shot "...you were."
  • First game me and my dad ever played together. He was doing the tutorial, laughing his ass off knifing the sh*t out of a bear taking whiskey shots shouting @ the TV when he could catch his breath “DIE BEAR! DIE!” 😂 It’s one of my favourite boiiz time mementoes with my dad.
  • MY cousin and I played the shit out of this game 10 and 11 at the time lol. he passed back in 2018, we weren't close when we got older but this game makes me remember the times we played it. You are missed, Derek.
  • I loved this game as a kid. Played the absolute shit out of it.
  • This was one of those games that never got the proper recognition. I remember replaying it several times. Everyone I talked to about it at the time had never heard of it and blew it off as some junk game but it was a clear favorite of mine then
  • I was always blown away by how good the graphics looked for 2005, not to mention it was one of the few games that I did not skip cutscenes because they were written so well. It really felt like an achievement to complete this game back in the day.
  • @J29117
One of my all time favourites. Really hurts knowing there were plans for a sequel that fell through but at least we can still see it's legacy through RDR.
  • @badger297
I've always wondered why no one talks about this game. It was a huge part of my gaming experience as a kid. Idk how many times I played thru this game with my lil brother. Fucking awesome video. Love your content dude
  • I replayed gun so many times . Sometimes re starting immediately after being the story the same day. It really felt like a movie in its own way. And being a short game with a smallish map it always made me crave for more . Though small the map was so well designed . I even remember when red dead redemption was announced seeing people claim “FINALLY AN OLD WESTERN FREE ROAMING GAME” and id be in the comments section like … uuh GUN gun exists wtf you mean finally xD. Its such an under rated gem its a shame the 360 version isnt back compat
  • This game was my childhood. I beat it so many times and spent days just roleplaying. I'd get my parents to rent this game at Movie Gallery every chance I could.
  • "I'M HOOODOOOO BROOWN" sometimes still rings in my head, even a decade later
  • my dad is notorious for buying shitty pc games since floppy disk, but ever so often he would buy a true gem. Gun was one of those gems. he bought it because he's a western nerd and just throws money at anything western, martial arts, sci fi, etc. I would always play any of the pc games he'd pick up and most were trash so id be a brat and tell him how shit they were but this game came up one day and i beat it one sitting. It truly is the red dead redemption of its time. This made me wanna play again too, nice review. Damn i also kinda miss that neversoft era where they just made classics nonstop until merging into infinity ward. cod nonstop...
  • Gun was, and will always be, my fondest memory of playing a video game and truly being blown away by it as a kid.
