The lightening is obviously a huge improvement, i know they're redoing textures and assets but that lightening makes a huge difference...

Paper Mario TTYD has never looked so good. I am so excited for the remake to come out.

I’m very happy to have kept my GameCube version so that way I have the original version and then the upgraded version for the switch when it comes out. There seems to be enough differences with the versions that it’s worth holding onto the old one.

I tell ya the Boggly Woods is so beautiful. Especially the ground.

Already the first day of May and only 22 more days left until this game’s release.

0:12 As beautiful as the new version is here, it really doesn't make sense for light to be shining down here.

I understood the 60fps preference as the original game is 60fps originally but I'd rather have this game built for Switch (not a remaster/port) and use this as a base (30fps sacrifice but with modern visuals) then put a 60fps patch for Switch 2, than just lazily port the gamecube code with dated visuals. THIS GAME DESERVES TO SHINE... literally

Worth noting that the new map now shows Rogueport Sewers and Riverside Station. The moon is also now hidden, presumably until the location pops up before being revealed for Chapter 7.

The remake looks like stop motion in comparison. Man, I hope emulation can do something about the bad framerate.
  • Is it just or in some areas the Gamecube version seemed like the better looking version of the game?

The floor constantly looks wet.. not like plastic, but just wet... it's very weird and kind of unnecessary. Reminds me of "realistic graphics mods" for old games where they just make everything reflective and wet for some reason :\

When this video game came out 20 years ago I never played it I gave it to my nephew. 2 years ago I played it for the first time and I still haven't finished it, after finishing it I will give the remake a chance
