On my recent trip to York, I spoke to Jamie, a cancer patient who cannot get registered to a GP because he is homeless. A man that tried to “bottle it up “ so he didn’t upset his wife or children, ended up having a mental breakdown. This is his story.

I'm a pensioner I've been looking after my mother 4 years and I had to find a house share because there's no council left and I was only offered a man's hostel I'm one of the lucky one's in Birmingham 😮😮😮

I’m from york and I’m noticing a lot of the rough sleepers in the city centre have been sent from other city’s hoping York will house them. I was homeless for 2 years and I never thought about hanging around and sleeping in the city centre.

Paper work, red tape, council boundaries and bureaucracy are nothing more than pitiful excuses that make the system allowed to fail people. God bless Jamie, the people who have the power to make decision and influence policies could ultimately choose to act with the amount of human kindness that they would want their own loved ones to be afforded.

Here in Ireland I think homelessness/uncontrolled migration are the main issues for the coming election as so many Irish are homeless and the obviously insane government advertised around the world- in foreign languages - that if you come to Ireland you will get a home and money - plenty of it too….
  • Don't be naive. Every one has a sob story. The reality is usually just ... crack. Bedwetting do-gooders won't like the reality of it though
