The power cycling method did the trick! Thanks for the video!

Thanks man. The CEC was off on my tv. Turning it on fixed the problem. Spent so long swapping cables and reseting everything and one setting fixed the problem fml.

Hi, i just came across your video.... My issue is that my soundbar won't see the ARC by itself but will keep switching to HDMI 1 which is where i have connected my Apple TV box. I have gone over and over again checking the connections and everything seems fine, as well as de CEC and other options. It just goes back to HDMI 1 as soon as i turn the TV on. Right now i opted for disconnecting HDMI cables and power sources on TV and Soundbar and will check it in bit. I did notice thought and when i just go to the LG TV menu paged, that the output for the soundbar IS ARC and whenever i switch to Apple TV source, it goes back to HDMI 1, since you mentioned that the issue could be the Apple TV box, i wanted to ask you if you had any idea what i could look for in the settings there? Everything i see till now seems to be ok though, so i have no idea. If the cabling thing doesnt work later on, maybe i should get in touch with Apple. I hope you have suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks for the tips. Nothings works for me, unfortunately. Here's the specific problem: Everything works except for VolumeControl/Mute via TVs remote. My Harman/Kardon BDS280 starts automatically when turning the TV on and the speakers are working properly also. CEC(Anynet+ for Samsung) is active. TV is from around 2015. Both Arc-Ports are used and everything is wired correctly. Nothing else is connected. Just BDS280 as receiver/Bluray player. Two Yamaha speakers are connected to BDS. Have to use receiver remote to control volume. Any suggestions? THANK YOU.

And actually show how the power cycle works. Which order do we plug the cables back in? You skipped over everything

This guide is bad. Why don’t you actually show start to finish rather than show one of the steps on one tv and then show the next step with a UI from a whole other tv

Hi, Thanks for the explanation. I got a problem when connecting my old Philips HTS-9140 soundbar (2010) to My Samsung The Frame TV (2022 version). Here's the problem. I try to connect the hdmi arc port of the soundbar to hdmi arc port on the Samsung TV and The TV cannot recognize the HDMI ARC of the soundbar. First I used HDMI cable provided by Philips Soundbar (probably HDMI 1.4 version cable), then I tried to configure whether the cable was not working or the HDMI ARC port of the soundbar was broken by connected the HDMI 1.4 cable from HDMI ARC port of the soundbar to HDMI (not ARC) port of the TV, and voila..a notification appeared on the TV screen, it recognized that a HDMI ARC device connected to HDMI port of the TV and suggest to reconnect it to HDMI ARC port on TV. Then I done so and connected HDMI cable to HDMI ARC port on the TV, but nothing happened. So lastly, I change to HDMI 2.0 cable and reconnected to both HDMI ARC ports of the soundbar and TV, also checked the HDMI ARC CEC on position. Nothing happened. I did the settings all over again, and still did not working... Could you give some advice how to make the HDMI ARC from both Soundbar and TV works ?
