This is actually the first I'm hearing about re-uploads on bilibili funny enough. I mean, if they don't profit off the stolen content, then it's hard to really want to take action on it. And I can't imagine they do. Soooo, ok lol.

Update: I've had some people more fluent than me in Chinese do some translations and while the numbers weren't as high as originally projected, we still had an invasion of hundreds of thousands stopped thanks to the Great Firewall of China. Phew.

I imagine if that many Chinese 2t2b fans migrated into the server you'd have your first incursion loss.
  • @DeaconHo
No firewall in Hong Kong. haha
  • @Reagan_Calamity
You were right, Fit. This is a topic I've never thought much about on 2b2t.

The great firewall is easily skirted. But the issue facing the Chinese is the purchasing and account creation of the Java or Bedrock editions. If they had been able to create accounts, say if it were just 5 years ago without Microsofts support, 2B2T would have been permanently devastated by traffic alone.

It's no surprise they'd have their own version. Not only the internet censorship and filtering, but the game itself has cultural issues. Skeletons are the biggest one I can think of. In world of warcraft Chinese version, undead models have to be made so that no bones are showing. Forsaken character models are a good example, but the most stark one I can think of is the Chinese Marrowgar model.

Such a peculiar thing that millions knew of it, but very few could join and play.
  • Fit, how long do you think 2b2t will last? as in a active player base and the server running, what would you do if 2b2t got shut down?

If 100,000,000 new Minecraft players came from China, Minecraft itself would be saved from dropping player counts
  • @Crackers0106
China got its own version of Minecraft because they would have just pirated it anyways. That's why the original DOOM's full version was released in china as shareware.
