With over 20 movies and counting making up the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’ve seen so many of our favorite superheroes on the big screen. From Captain America’s superhuman strength to Captain Marvel’s photon blasts, we’ve also seen plenty of incredible powers on display, but despite all of this, comic book fans are still waiting to see how some powers will be used in the MCU. Today, we’re going to take a look at some superpowers MCU characters have, but for some reason, never use.

Captain Marvel is known for having some absolutely ridiculous powers. In fact, Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, said that she’s the most powerful character in the entire MCU. We’ve seen some of those powers on display in her standalone movie, specifically when she punched a spaceship, but believe it or not, she has even more powers that make her stronger.

Iron Man is known for not having any superpowers in the MCU, even though being a genius probably is one, but for a short time in the comics, he did have a power that may surprise you and, of course, it involves his Iron Man suit and advanced tech. Even Thor has a secret power that may very well make him every linguist’s best friend and don’t get us started on some of these other powers that, if used, could’ve changed the MCU forever.

There are so many other unused superpowers our favorite superheroes have, so enjoy the video and don’t forget to subscribe to CBR for more MCU content.

Well, Cap did manage to memorize exact spot of Hydra bases just from a glimpse of the map he saw when he rescued Bucky.

Remember that vision said the wound he took prevented him from phasing, which is why we don't see him using that skill in infinity war

Thor has WAY more powers: weather manipulation, interstellar travel, energy manipulation, opening extradimensional portals, godblast etc.

Clint is also DEAF in the comics, relying on lip reading and some next-level hearing aids to get by. He also knows sign language. He is totally a superhero. As is anyone who lives with disabilities.

I just realized that in the Spider-man scene (around 7:32) the sign behind Spidy says "identity theft?" while the bad guys are using avengers masks LOL

Narrator: "Captain America's origin story is probably one of the most well known in comic book history." Batman and Spider man: Exist
