Lovely to listen to! I'd forgotten about Sally's crying scene and subsequent cry, and I do remember how sometimes when you access those feelings for a scent, it takes a while to get past them.

Thank you, Sally for those kind words about the crew....yes, we were a family and still are. During prep I recall asking Earl who Sally Boyden was, and he said, "John, she's a big star in Australia!" Well, you were a delight! Such a fun interview, I found myself laughing (a lot)! So happy Sally had a good time filming with us.
  • Sally you were so memorable on The Walton’s. Wonderful actress and I am so happy you stay in touch with Kami. Judy you always bring the best people on to surprise us. Thanks to you and Sally for everything. 👏🏻💕

What a treat! This is one of my favourite episodes. It was so nice to hear how welcome Sally felt on set and her enduring friendship with Kami. Thank you Judy x
  • So nice to hear from Sally and her confirmation that the Waltons cast was like a family in real life. Her progression as an actress was so interesting, great interview.

Another great guest! Sally nailed the role of Tess. It's great seeing how many guests on the show have such fond memories of their time on the Waltons!

it was nice of Gary Burghoff to refer Sally to Lorimar. I like his role on M*A*S*H a lot.
  • I remember this episode of the Walton's Jeff Cotler Kami's brother played Sally's brother Pip in this episode.🇺🇲📺📺🇺🇲

Dear Sally and Judy, This is a real treat to see you, Sally and Judy. "The Children's Carol" is one of my favorite episodes of "The Waltons". Everything about it is special, from the pre-credits narration on to the end. I really enjoy the way you played Tess, so authentic. Grandpa, as usual, lends a comedic touch, and the subplots really aid the story. Jason wrestling with his drilling in the National Guard vs. his love for music, Ike and Ben working on civil defense, the Baldwin sisters trying their best to help Tess and Pip, Erin still reeling from the loss of G.W., Jim-Bob setting up his shortwave radio in the barn, Mary Ellen longing to be with Curt, who has been called up; all of this underscored the main plot so well. It's nice to see you two, Sally and Judy.
  • Wow Judy, you’ve done it again. Another excellent guest. Thank you both for sharing your memories. 👍🏻👍🏻

Judy looking absolutely Beautiful this morning as always!!!
  • That's quite amazing that Miss Boyden had met Miss Colter when performing in a single 'Walton's' episode with Miss Colter's kid brother- and despite the very different paths and geographical homes each has had, they've stayed friends all these decades! Thanks for bringing this!
  • This is such a treat!! I always enjoyed this episode. During WW 2 my dad was stationed in England and he always spoke so highly of the English people. Thank you for highlighting this beautiful, touching episode.
  • @Altanon
I've never tried to pick a favorite episode, but this one is close to the top.
  • Thanks Judy, So great hearing from Sally. That was a very touching episode. I believe Pipp first spoke in that episode when John handed him to Olivia after he rescued he off the tarmac at the army base, when he told Olivia he was proper scare. I enjoyed how Grandpa Walton related with the children and how Tess respected him. I wasn't to crazy about the song Jason wrote. As always take care, stay safe and God Bless.
