In this video we decide to see if we can get our 1986 Yamaha IT200 dirt bike running. The IT200 is a 2 stroke enduro bike manufactured from 1984 - 1966. Ours is an incomplete motorcycle, and we may just dismantle it for parts, but still think it is worth the effort to attempt starting the engine. If it runs and rides we will know that the engine and transmission are in working order, and be able to sell individual parts knowing they are from a working machine.

Why do I enjoy watching your videos so much the two of you make such a great team. I can't count how many years I've been watching you guys for now but it is definitely been a few. I'm a retired motorcycle shop owner and absolutely love watching the two of you tinker with these bikes. Camera girls voice makes me smile. Both of your smiles and voices could cure cancer. ❤ Trim the end of the crankshaft looks like you still have plenty of room to get the bolt back on if you trim the damaged area off and clean up the threads.

I have seen complete turds on marketplace for out of this world asking prices. At least you are honest and are offering machines for a reasonable price. You don't always win on every deal, but you will eventually get yours.
  • I once sold a house in Ogden, UT and then promptly pulled up the old dingy carpet with the new owner to find absolutely perfect original hardwood floors with bison hide covers on the steps. Live and learn.
  • With really stuck flywheels like that, I've had luck by adding tension with the flywheel puller, then giving it some solid smacks with a hammer all the way around until it gives. Could also try adding some heat to loosen things up.
  • I like the spreadsheets. I also like the business talk. Basically, I'm here for what you've got J&J. Thanks as always!
  • Because of you I got into mini bikes, thanks for helping me get over engine trouble shooting

You have a 1986 it200, those forks are very desirable, the only year Yamaha it that had a disc brake from factory, very nice bikes restored
  • You gave it the ol' college try... sender on down the road in parts! Keep 'em coming!!
  • You and 2vintage need to do a collaboration video. The Kickstart Olympics.

Way back in history, someone had similarily hesitant motorcycle. Several kicking sessions resulted in invention of a bicycle, a revolutionary two wheeled vehicle utilizing the kicking power of the passenger.

Yep camera girls legs were way more interesting that that carb 😂

I laugh so much with you guys. The part where camera girl was lying casually during the hard kick session was perfect!

Noooo, this ending is so sad. This feels like giving up , but you guys never give up.
  • Leaking carb, handle bar mounted fuel reservoir and the spark arrestor removed. So glad your luck held… definitely time for a lottery ticket this week. ;D stay safe.
