Let it be known that every Loyalist that died on the worlds of Istvaan died a better man than any traitor that survived.
  • @rexlumontad5644
Rylanor survived the virus bombing and held a spare virus bomb he saved for Fulgrim to detonate at his face.

Let it be known that there were still loyal sons of the 3rd legion that never turned there back against the Emperor of Mankind. SAUL TARVIZ & VENERABLE RYLANOR

"...They knew they had remained loyal to the emperor right to the very end." Beautifully done, an excellent video Janovich, tyvm for it!
  • The scouring of Istvaan III would only truly end 10,000 years later after Rylanor activated his makeshift psychic beacon to bait Fulgrim to his location, solely to give him one last middle finger with an undetonated virus bomb. An action so powerful, it actually managed to irreparably hurt the pride of the most vainglorious demigod in the warp. And an action equally as inspiring and noble that it convinced a cabal of Tzeentchian sorcerers to turn loyal in their last moments and also give Fulgrim the middle finger before being consumed by the virus bomb.

Erebus being snuck up on and his throat slit by a baseline human tickled me.

‘You… lied.’ ‘Veteran’s prerogative,’ came the reply. ‘We’ll go together then, shall we?’ Huron-Fal asked, embracing Temeter’s body to him, moving swiftly away from the bunker. It took every last effort from Temeter to nod. Blinded now, he could feel the tissues of his eyes burning and shrivelling in his head, the soft meat of his lips and tongue dissolving. Huron-Fal’s systems were on the verge of shut-down as he stumbled to a safe distance, skidding to a halt. ‘This death,’ rasped the voder, ‘this death is ours. We choose it. We deny you your victory.’ With a single burning nerve impulse, the mind of the warrior at the heart of the Dreadnought uncoupled the governor controls on his compact fusion generator and let it overload. For a moment there was a tiny star on the battered plains outside the Choral City, marking two more lives lost within a maelstrom of murder.
  • Just before the last fight, Loken had impaled Kharn against the spiked hull of a traitor tank. Kharn. Loken truly is Cerberus.

Many HEROES of the IMPERIUM, where lost that day. But the EMPEROR KNOWS ALL THEIR NAMES!
  • I recall the virtues I stood for, I recall the struggles and the things that we have done! I will not be deterred from my vengeance, I remember the lessons passed on to the Sons! I AM ONE OF THE EMPERORS CHILDREN! I AM RYLANOR AND I AM THE ANCIENT OF RITE! So I reject you for now and for always! To strike you down I have waited for a million nights!

Horus: "Alright that first bombing didn't kill quite as many as I thought but we have complete orbital superiority so we ought to be able to just wrap this up in a few hours with another few cannonade rounds." Angron: "Hold my space beer."
  • @MiketheMadness
fucking incredible as always. This is just such a perfect delivery of warhammer lore. So engaging, well researched, clearly animated. You and your team are absolute legends. I'm gonna donate, and please don't leave the Vraks videos behind, I absolutely love what you've done there as well and have a special place in my heart for the Guard, Krieg especially. Keep on! Bravo!

We remember Captain Saul Tavitz, who chose to be an exemplar before warped perfectionism. We remember Captains Garviel Loken and Tarik Torgaddon, who betrayed the Warmaster, their brothers in the Mornaval, and all of the Sons of Horus to spit in their father's face. We remember Captain Ehrlen of the World Eaters, who died a Warhound, screaming for the death of angron and his mongrel sons. We remember Captain Nathaniel Garro, who escaped to warn the loyal sons of the Emperor, and became the first Knight of the sigilite. We remember Venerable Dreadnought Rylanor, Ancient of Rites, who slumbered for over 10,000 years to avenge his fallen brothers against Fulgrim. And brother @viciv4793 remembers Venerable Dreadnought Huron Fal and Captain Ullis Temeter of the Death Guard, who chose to die together in a Viking funeral of plasma fire as honour brothers than be ruined by the life-eater.

Sad you didn't mention the standoff/shootout on the deck of the Titan when the crew realized what was happening, I thought that was one of the coolest parts
  • @chuck2703
Magnus idea to show up as a wolf and chase his brother was a great idea.
  • @REgamesplayer
It is impressive how Horus and other Primarchs could orchestrate this so effectively and quickly. No doubt long and hard work done by Lorgar had laid solid foundations which made all of this possible.
  • @williamwalsh4743
Love this series so so so much. Small correction, Fulgrim and Eldrad's forces both refused to allow each other on their ships, and agreed to meet on a planet called Tarsus
  • @shadowshandbro
I am going to be "that guy" and simply state that all of your focus and energy should be put into making the complete series of the Horus Heresy. This goes over all the spectacular detail without being over bearing and was a thrill to listen to. I absolutely love the lore of the Horus Heresy, but admit I knew little of it's beginnings. This was terrific, and please keep up the great work. I can't wait until the Siege of Terra now! 😁

As far as I know, there's still no confirmation about Tarvitz's demise. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in 40K one day.
  • That ending made me surprisingly emotional, phenomenal storytelling and voice-acting, made be despise the traitors all over again.
