In 2013 my daughter used this gorgeous song as her wedding march. She has since passed away, in 2017, after a heart transplant. This song reminds me of a day she could happily celebrate after so many days spent fighting to live.
  • I am leaving a comment here, so that whenever someone likes this comment, I am reminded of this heart-wrenchingly beautiful song.

When my wee son was stillborn and clung to life in his incubator in Neonatal ICU for a number of days in 2013 I would quietly sing this to him through my tears. He was given no hope by the ‘experts’. He’ll be 9 this year and he’s my best friend!

For my wife and her mental health issues. I wish I could just play this and lay alongside her. I love you so much Jules. I'm here for you. xxx Great song.

This was our favourite song. And I whispered it to my husband as he was dying.  I cry every time I hear it.  But it is still my favourite song.
  • My stunningly beautiful wife passed away 7 years ago, this song was one of her favourites, it comforts and kills me at the same time !!

"I need your grace, to remind me, to find my own." If this is not a message for today's world, I don't know what is. 💛
  • My daughter and I sang this in the car ...she passed in 2009... every time I hear this it brings me back to a time all was right with the world.....😢

Good grief, reading through these comments - thats when you know this song is more than the sum of its notes. Incredible meaning to so many people.

When my dog was at the end of life and he did not know what was going on. He was as thin as when we rescued him from the streets many years earlier. I did not want to let go. I would lay down with him on my chest and we chase cars. He made me so human.
  • I admire how he still lights up while singing this song the same way as we do everytime this song plays. This song brings back memories of simpler times, of good times. Times that have made me who I am, for better or for worse. This song is golden innocence and all good things that come with it.

This man is clearly living the nostalgia. Its crazy to think how many years have passed and it still holds such a place in everyone's heart

I’m so sorry for everyone who lost their loved ones. I hope they have found peace in heaven and you found your peace on earth. Much LOVE to you all!

How can Gary sing a well known (and older) song and make it sound brand new....ALL THE TIME . I know the answer....because he is MAGNIFICENT! I know I'm not the only one who never, ever gets tired of this song.
  • In Loving Memory of Barbara Meroney who introduced me to this song just before she died. My heart still breaks 11 1/2 years later!
  • I have Bi Polar and life can be so challenging at times. I've read many of these comment and cried. My heart goes out to all of you. Thankyou for sharing and for your honesty. Love is all you need ....❤❤❤

Believe it or not in 2023 this is the first time I’ve consciously heard this song. It’s fabulous
