Thanks for watching! Mark doesn't typically do this kind of thing so it was a real treat. If you enjoyed this conversation or have received value from this channel, my only ask is that you subscribe if you haven't already. Weirdly like 80% of all views here are from non-subscribers so it would mean a lot if you took a microsecond to click that button. Thank you! Mark is so impressive. So proud he comes from my village. I admire his focus and honesty. And being down to earth combined with the dedication.
  • I just want to say thank you for this video, I am a huge fan, admirer of Mark. I have followed him and his career for years, I wish nothing but the best for him in 2024. I'll be jumping up and down cheering him on all year but especially during the TDF.
  • I was going through depression and suicidal thoughts ppl said stop being so sensitive , man up , it's an excuse but watching Mark's documentary my respect for him went up even more than before . It takes a lot of strength to open up. What a person and an athlete Mark is 🔥
  • I have been a big cycling fan since the early 1980's and I am a massive CAV fan. I truly hope he gets the chance again to get that 35th TDF stage win! Making that documentary and really opening up about mental health was such a brave thing for an elite professional athlete to do. I have suffered with Complex PTSD for 35 years so I can empathise with what he has gone through. It is because of people like CAV speaking out it is a lot less likely mental health sufferers are seen as weak! Until you go through it yourself you could never understand the strength of character it takes! I am proud of you CAV for all you have achieved and for being so brave opening up! Great film!

As a fellow cyclist I have to say, thank you for doing this podcast with Mark!! His so relatable and yet so individually out of reach as an athlete it’s incredible. His story, his legacy… his given us more than we can wish for as cycling fanatics! Having that one additional win will only add to the legacy his already created, i trust he will get it! I trust the pack will be there when he needs them to make it happen 🫶🏽 cant wait to see it!

The transition is from how to win to why to win. It’s simple in words but massive in emotional energy.

I saw a photo of a very young Tom Pidcock standing with his idol, Mark and it really made me appreciate how accessible he's made himself as a role model, but also how long he's been in the game, with Tom now competing with him so many years later.

I cannot wait to listen to this. Have loved watching Cavendish since his first Tour. ❤

This was sooooooo, motivational!!!! I Never, heard of this gentleman but, now I’m a Fan of you both! Thank you for sharing this and, the hard work that it takes to do this kind of content. Blessings, Crews
  • Such a humble and nice guy. Bumped into him at London City Airport a few months ago, and despite what he has achieved he isn’t egotistical, taking time to out to chat. All the best Cav!
  • @mikesmouse7779
It's not your job to spit your dummy out when you lose or blame others when you come up short, but fairdoos that's something you do very well and don't get paid a bean for. Well done Cav.
  • @CaptainChunk5464
I'm a big fan of Mark Cavendish his recent Knighthood was thoroughly deserved, so glad he's worked through his struggles, I woke my next door neighbour (who was on nights) shouting when won the 35th TDF stage in style, also recommend his books they are an inspiration. Kind Regards CC 👍

Loved this episode, Rich. As Olympic swimming medalist, (was at Cal when you at Stanford) so loved the openness, transparency and honesty. Brought me to tears in several places…all fun memories of total intensity. Love your stuff…thanks.
  • @trailtillyoudrop
Nice location due to the background and the fact that you sit closer to each other. This makes the talk more personal and base level as you would normally have with this type of interview on a long table.
  • @dwb197
Wonderful interview! You are a true master at your craft, Rich. It was great to see this side of Mark, coming from a lifelong fan. Wishing Mark nothing but happiness and success both next year at the Tour and in his next steps. 🙏
  • Only one other person has won as many TdF stages, and yet he seems so humble. Always credits his team mates for his win. Just a great, great athlete and person
  • @TheWelshtart
Chapeau Mark, honest down to earth as ever. Thanks to you and Rich both for sharing this. ❤
  • @kvanc2763
