I just lost a lot of respect for WSB! If the city officials did not bother showing up in court and unless the house is a magnet for violent crime, drug dealing, vice, or other nuisance, the case should be thrown out - not the renters - who could end up on the street in our housing market.

This is exactly why I will not be voting for Mr.Dickens again.The city of Atlanta has complete disfunction in almost all city departments! The city "code enforcement is a complete joke and along with the city courts . They don't seem to care about the quality of life in our neighborhoods at all or enforcement of anything. What I've seen is just as she stated no accountability of anything should be the city's motto.
