This is so interesting thank you. Also thank you to the many people who work so hard during an election.👍👍

Once again…the only thing that we have to do is VOTE. So quit bitching about things and vote…and take your friends with you so they can vote too. 👍👍🗳🇺🇸☘️☘️

Thank you for calm, informative coverage of the election process. I have volunteered as an election volunteer and have only met sincere and honest citizens doing all they can to guarantee a free and fair election.

Jocelyn Benson clearly laid out the case as to why elections have, if anything, grown more secure and able to be verified, as did, each in his way, David Becker and Benjamin Ginsberg. Each of them also knows that the MAGA program is an autocratic one, not interested in free and fair elections. I cannot adequately thank these three people enough, and others who do this work. Our democracy feels so fragile. They are the thread helping to hold it together. Thanks also to Margaret Hoover, for inviting the three of them, and for her cogent questions.

Thank you so much for this video. I dream of a world where truth and rational reactions are the norm.

This was great. Too bad the large corporate media (CNN MSNBC FOX etc) dont present something as simple and clear as this.

David Becker's advice at the end when he said, volunteer and run a polling place to see for yourself how we assure election results, rings very true for me. I've run polling places in two different states (Washington & California) and have found that there are so many checks & balances that it's nearly impossible for things to go wrong. However on the slim chance it does, there are at least three ways to verify the data which happens for 30 days after an election during the certification process. And when it comes to voter rolls, for the week leading up to an election I'd get nearly daily updates thru FedEx overnight envelopes. Not to mention the election dept. makes sure there is at least one republican and one democrat worker at each polling place, plus some independents like me sprinkled around for good measure. Just work an election and you'll stop doubting the process.

It was said by one of the panelists that voting is easy. This is only partly truth. In states where people have to wait in line for 5 hours it is not easy.

I see we are still both siding everything lol
  • I agree that it is important for candidates to have the ability to contest election results through recounts and other legal means. I think this scrutiny actually sheds legitimacy onto the voting process and should give voters confidence in the way in which their elections are run. The threat of violence against poll workers and other election officials sickens me. It is disgusting how people choose violence over democracy when election results do not swing in their favor. I continue to pray for the safety of all election workers as they prepare for the 2024 election season. I liked Ben Ginsberg's football analogy to describe the electoral college process, and it made me see this process in a new light. It never made sense to me how a candidate could win the popular vote only to lose in the electoral college results.

Elections are more secure and trustworthy than ever and yet the electoral college system illegitimizes the vote of the people. It means that for a close race, the voters in 4-8 states decide the outcome for all the country, irrelevant if some prove as bell-weathers for the outcome. All that said, what David Becker says is paramount, whomever or whatever party or candidate you believe in, go out and vote! #Thank you all
