As an ULM alum and lifelong LSU fan, 2007 would've been great year regardless, but the insanity that happened the last part of that season was everything that made pre-playoff college football amazing.

2007 was a bit rough for me as a kid because we didn't have cable until late December. Then on January 1 of 2008, is when I saw my 1st college football game. The Georgia Bulldogs vs The Hawaii Warriors. Seeing Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno in those black jerseys was enough to make me an instant fan. I had no idea what a sugar bowl was because I didn't understand what goes on in college football. I'm glad I was able to become a fan at an early age. Go Dawgs!!

As a UGA fan, that bowl game was so satisfying. We were subjected to a month of ESPN saying uga wouldn’t know what hit them. They’d never played an offense like this before. Don’t underestimate Hawaii. This is going to be close. After that game and the bcs game, everyone suddenly agreed that uga should have gone to the bcs.

Taken as a whole, 2007 was the most enjoyable college football season ever. And by far, the craziest. Nothing even comes close.
