I have lived in So Cal for over 70 years and this is actually a bit cooler then some years in July.

What records? This always happens every year. They’re just selective to make people panic. It’s still nice and cool for me and it’s only “hot”mid 70s in the afternoon

The name "California" means "hot oven" in Latin. Cali has always been hot, so don't be so shocked.
